All the secret bosses in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

We don’t mean that those who can get lost only get one chance with these bosses. Instead, these are the bosses that you’re not guaranteed to encounter on your journey through Hyrule. That means none of these are hits in the story.

Talus bosses are huge, bipedal, rock-like enemies. To damage them, you need to hit the black rock on top that you normally see in caves that contain minerals and gems. You will only take a few hits before the enemy Talus sends you flying, dealing moderate damage. There are four guys you will have to fight.

  • Battle Slope: 1297, -1119, 0019 (right next to Sahasra Slope Skyview Tower).
  • Frost Embankment: -2815, -1300, 0553 (in Laparoh Mesa).
  • Talo de Igneo: 2215, 1761, 0317 (in the Medingo Pool area).
  • Luminous Stone Tallus: 0357, -1980, -0044 (go down to the well in Deya Village Ruins, this one is different from the others because of the Luminous Stone’s weak point on its back).
  • Stone Embankment: 4175, 0508, 0350 (east of Ihen-a Shrine).

The Lynel are the centaur enemies that can be seen roaming some of the wider plains of Hyrule. They miss a sword, shield, and bow, making them quite a tough foe to take down. There are three types spread across Hyrule that differ in mane color. They are the only entry on this list that does not have a special boss health bar at the top of the screen.

  • Bluemane Lynel: 2530, -0524, 0114 (in the Rabia Plain area northeast of Kakariko Village).
  • White-maned Lynel: 3891, 0980, 0249 (in the Ukuku Plains area southwest of Rasitakiwak Shrine).
  • Red-mane Lynel: -1563, 0160, 0109 (in West Hyrule Plains, northeast of Sonapan Shrine).

Gleeok

Gleeok are those three-headed dragons that you can see from the air. The fact that they can fly makes them incredibly dangerous, so be sure to bring gear that’s best suited for Gleeok’s specific element defense. They will flap their wings at you quite often, so it’s best to come equipped with a good bow.

  • gleeok flame: -0022, -2530, 0039 (located right in the center of the Hylia Bridge over Lake Hylia).
  • Gleeok Frost: -4061, -9035, 0688 (on a rock on the south side of the Gerudo Summit area, not far north of the Gerudo Highlands Skyview Tower).
  • Gleeok Thunder: -1127, -1203, 0047 (in the Colosseum Ruins on the Aquame Lake peninsula, northeast of Tsutsu-um Shrine).

Hinox

The Hinox are the huge one-eyed Bokoblin enemies that have weapons stabbed into their stomachs. The one eye is their obvious weak point, but they will start to cover it at a certain point. They will go down quickly if you can avoid their smash attacks and keep hitting their feet/legs. Out of this entire list, Hinox is probably the easiest enemy type.

  • Black Hinox: 0802, 3345, 0200 (on the western side of the Eldin Mountains, east of the Thyphlo Ruins Skyview Tower).
  • Blue Hinox: 3415, 0279, 0247 (on the Precipice Route southeast of Mogawak Shrine).
  • Normal Hinox: 1298, 0920, 0027 (in Trilby Plain, southeast of Woodland Stable and Ekochiu Shrine).

The Molduga is a sand lizard that reacts when Link walks on the sand, similar to the Graboids in the movie Tremors. Your best move to fight him will be to find one of the pillars in the arena and then lure him towards the pillar so he hits it and is momentarily stunned. Unlike the other enemies on this list, there is only one type of Molduga. As with the other bosses, you’ll want to bring a solid bow with you.
