All the Watchtowers in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom

All the Watchtowers in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom. Zelda Tears of the Kingdom’s majestic Kingdom Towers, or Heavenly Towers, reveal the entire cartography of Hyrule and grant you the ability to move quickly, taking to the skies to reach islands and glide to new enclaves. Nevertheless, some of the Watchtowers in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom contain puzzles or challenges that must be solved to unlock their access, requiring repairs or a unique method of entry. Next, we will expose the way to all the Watchtowers in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom, detailing how to access them and noting all their locations.

All the Watchtowers in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom

There are a total of 15 Watchtowers to discover in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, and even if Lookout Landing in Central Hyrule is the first one you face, the others can be visited in any sequence.

Activating each of the towers reveals a part of the entire map of Hyrule, giving players the ability to progressively view the entire map on their Prunia tablet. This includes the sky islands in the region, though it does not reveal the depths that require discovery by subterranean Lightroots.

Each of the Towers stands out visually and is evident from afar: they are imposing constructions and those you haven’t visited yet will be highlighted by glowing lights at their base. However, although they are visible, they are not always easy to access. Next, we will review all the Watchtowers in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom and we will explain how to enter each one of them.

All the locations of the Watchtowers in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom

1. Watchtower of Fort Vigía

Access to this tower located high in the mountains is blocked by sharp spikes, but that should not be an insurmountable obstacle. You can climb a tree and slide to the entrance, or use fire to burn the spikes: an incendiary fruit will be enough to solve the problem effectively.

2. Labla Mount Watchtower

The Pikida Grove Stone Tower stands on a huge stone mushroom which will be extremely challenging to climb. However, there is a solution. On one side, there is a half-built wooden staircase made up of large planks. Although it is not finished you can use Ultramano to add the planks remaining loose at the bottom and, then go up!

3. Arkpin Steppe Watchtower

The Tower of Lindor’s Brow stands in the middle of a vast lake, on a raised island. Our main recommendation is to follow the advice we provide in the Zelda Tears of the Kingdom tips section: build a bridge joining several logs or planks to be able to cross. Of course, those who possess great stamina or some way of sliding down could pull it off successfully as well.

4. Oumbra Ruins Watchtower

The tower located in the ruins of Thyphlo is blocked by a section of the ruins at the top, which keeps the entrance closed. To unlock it, use the nearby floating platforms and attach a rocket to each side using Ultra Hand so that they shoot the platform straight up. Once there, Use Ultra Hand to dislodge the obstruction so you can open the tower again.

5. Eldin Valley Watchtower

In the middle of the volcano there is a tower with the door closed, but the way to enter is by sliding through the hatch at the top. You can choose to ascend and retrieve some falling debris, so that you can build a platform in the air and jump from there.

6. Ulri Mount Watchtower

This tower has been sabotaged by an Aerocuda! The maintenance man will point you just behind him, where you can see the monster flying with the console in its clutches. It’s hard to hit, but putting a Keese or Aerocuda Eye on your arrow will increase its accuracy! Once the console is dropped by the monster, use Ultra Hand to pick it up and place it on its empty spot.. The non-player character will take it upon himself to repair it and make it work again!

7. Zorana plateau watchtower

The entrance to this tower is blocked by a huge mountain of mud., one of the many that litter the area. The solution to clear it is to select one of the watery fruits that grow nearby and throw it or shoot an arrow into the mud. This will clear it and gain access to the tower.

8. Hyrule Plain Watchtower

This tower will be your first stop when undertaking the main quest “Crisis at Hyrule Castle”. Purah will activate it as you progress through your journey after exploring the castle for the first time. Doing so will also activate all the other towers in the game, allowing you to activate them in turn.

9. Gerudo Mountain Range Watchtower

The entrance to this mountain tower in the desert is hidden under a heavy layer of snow, approximately six meters thick. To access it, head to the nearby Meadela Mantle Cave, located north of the tower (coordinates -3975, -1248, 0429). Follow the cave path until you reach the underground river and build a raft to navigate it. Along the way, you’ll come across a Bubbulfrog (shoot it to get one of the Bubbul Gems from Zelda Tears of the Kingdom). At the end of the river, you will find a scaffolding obstruction. Place the raft at the indicated location (coordinates -3963, -1302, 0377) and use Ascend to reach the tower that is blocked by snow.

10. Gerudo Canyon Watchtower

Like many other towers, this one requires repairs. However, the repairman is at the bottom of the mountain and is unable to ascend due to the damaged lift system. To solve this, use Ultrahand to hold a set of metal crates near the left counterweight, right next to the tower. Once the boxes are heavy enough, the counterweight will detach and lift the elevator up, along with the repairman! He will be in charge of fixing the tower, allowing access to it.

11. Fandell Swamp Watchtower

It is not a riddle: the tower is simply surrounded by a camp of Bokoblins, even a Bokoblin leader!! Our best recommendation is to face them one at a time., keep a safe distance whenever possible, and play with caution, especially if you are in the early stages of the game. The camp is littered with exploding barrels so care is needed, although a clever player will know how to set them off when the Bokoblins get too close.

12. Sahasra Hill Watchtower

The entrance to this tower is firmly attached, making access difficult. The solution is to descend to the west, where you will find the entrance of a tunnel just below, known as “Sahasra Slope Cave” (coordinates 1367, -1191, 0132). Head inside, blow up the rocks that block your way and take out the Horroblins that attack you, until you can use your minimap to position yourself just below the tower (coordinates 1339, -1179, 0131). Next, use the Ascend ability to materialize inside the towerOnce there, remove the two long posts that block the door and you will enjoy full access.

13. Watchtower of the Popla Plateau

The tower presents an opening, however, the console is not operational. To remedy it, Jump into the shaft adjacent to the entrance and go through the rock wall of the cave you land in. There you will meet Elmerson, a worker trapped in a cage. To free it, head to the other grotto to the south, located at the bottom of the cliff. Simply stand on the switch in front of the cage to allow it to escape. Subsequently, Elmerson will head to the tower and repair it immediately..

14. Naorin Pass Watchtower

This tower is completely surrounded by thorns. However, the thorns are too close to the door, making it difficult to fly over them, and it is constantly raining, which puts out any fire. The solution is to build a roof with nearby planks to prevent rain from reaching the thorns and subsequently burn them using some kind of similar weapon.

15. Mount Lanayru Watchtower

There are no riddles for this final tower, it’s just a long walk to the top of the mountain. For assistance in surviving in icy conditions, we can provide details in our Cold Resistance in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom guide. Be sure to carry weapons to face the many enemies that roam the mountain. Alternatively, you can take advantage of falling debris to take a quick shortcut to the top.
