Biographical synthesis
AJ McLean was born on January 9 , 1978 in Florida , United States ; He is the son of Denise Fernandez and Bob McLean. His parents divorced when he was only 4 years old. Currently his mother Denise is married to Tony, a man with Spanish roots … Alex grew up with his mother and his maternal family especially with his grandparents Adolph and Ursula. Jonhy No Name
He came to act for a time under the pseudonym of Jonhy no name, from which he created a foundation that is still in operation today, the JNN Foundation. One of his worst moments was in 2001 after the death of his grandmother to whom he was very close and for various personal reasons, Aj McLean falls into a serious depression that leads him to give sleeping pills, abuse alcohol and other substances.
Fortunately today and after 30 days of being admitted to a detox clinic in Arizona for 30 days , on October 23 of this year he turns 4 years sober! It goes without saying that BSB, the group to which it belongs, has been one of the most important fan groups in history
In 2005 after almost 5 years of silence, they returned with an impressive album Never Gone with which they remembered old times again. Alex is immersed in the recording of what will be his first and surely successful solo album. Personal life
McLean suffered from drug addiction and went to rehab in 2001 (and again in 2002 ) following the intervention of ex- Backstreet Boys member Kevin Scott Richardson. During an interview with the station Radio in New Zealand , ZM, McLean described his addiction as the hardest things happened for his life, saying it is something that he fights every day.
He entered rehab for the third time October to January of 2011 citing “personal reasons” that are most likely related to its history to abuse the spirit . The NKOTB and Backstreet Boys tour will be coming so he said, “I want to be healthy and sing for people being better and happy.” His time in rehab is not expected to affect the tour.
He is engaged to Rochelle Deanna Karidis, to whom he proposed on her birthday in 2010 while celebrating at a club in Las Vegas . At midnight, McLean took Karidis on stage and proposed to her with a ring he had purchased at the Hard Rock Hotel’s jewelry store, Rocks, a few hours earlier. Their wedding is set for December 17 , 2011 .
