9 smart tips to create the perfect balance in life

It may never have been as difficult as now to create a sensible, functioning balance in life. People are more busy and stressful than ever. There are higher demands, not least on younger people, to catch up with everything at once – jobs, friends, studies, career, family, fun and a thousand other things. It is no wonder that the whole western world is soon collectively going into the wall. Working more does not have to mean that you get more out of what you want out of life.
Here you should at least get some tips on what you can do to create better harmony in life:

1. Give yourself more free time

Be sure to regularly give yourself time to relax and unwind. Do things that have nothing to do with work and everyday life. Travel away if you can. Take a step back from time to time – it also gives you a chance to get some perspective on what you spend your time in life on. Are you really doing the right things? And for the right reason?

Release anxiety
Anxiety consumes so much time and energy completely unnecessarily. Here the old honest trick is still the most effective – ask yourself the question: Can I do something about what worries me? If the answer is yes, do what you can to solve the problem. If the answer is no, you let go of the thought of it.

Get better at prioritizing
Write lists where you list what is really important to do. Prioritize everything on the A-list. Write down things you can do at a later time on a B-list.
How many of all your “musts” are really as important as you think? Focus on what you write on your lists – and focus above all on getting better at just writing down real musts on your A-list.

4. Get better at saying no
Then you also get more time and energy to do more of what you want to do.

5. Do more of everything you think is fun
Life is too short to just work and take responsibility. Skolka from everything sometimes.

6. Think of things you are grateful for
It’s easy to wave away the scenes in American movies where families gather around Thanksgiving, holding hands and telling each other what they have to be thankful for. But that’s not really a stupid idea. We so easily forget everything we have to be happy and grateful for. Take a moment now and then and think about all the good you have and have experienced in life. It can lower the stress in your life.

7. Do at least one thing you love every day
If there is no time, then make time. It is important to feel the desire every day and you get it by doing something a little every day that you really love to do. If nothing else, you have at least that moment to look forward to every day.

8. Set clear, affordable goals
When you know what to do, it also becomes easier to motivate yourself why you should spend time and energy on achieving your goals. Make sure you set clear goals, both in the long run and in the short term. And set small milestones that you celebrate each time you reach.

9. Focus on results, not on the time you put in
Ignore wasting valuable time telling yourself that you need to work harder and harder, so focus your time and energy on achieving bigger goals instead. Simplify your routines and become more efficient. Success is not just about spending time and energy on something, but often also about becoming more efficient at what you do. If you focus on the right things, you do not have to waste unnecessary time and energy on things that still do not give the results you want. Then you also get more free time and a better balance in life.
