Who is Kotal Kahn from MK 11
Kotal Kan is the son of the ruler of the Osh-Tek kingdom. When Shao Kahn conquered the kingdom of Osh-Tek, his father sent Kotal to earth to undergo a ceremony of initiation into warriors and learn how to survive. Kotal found a tribe of Indians on the ground. He trained them to eat the hearts of slain enemies, and also destroyed all enemy tribes, and eventually became the leader of the tribe.
After some time, the Kotal tribe died, as the hearts eaten by the Indians were infected. Following these events, Kotal returned to his homeworld and began working for Shao Kahn.
After Shao Kahn’s death, Kotal Kahn begins to serve Mileena, but after 20 years he overthrows her, as he considered her a bad ruler. Kotal and his companions managed to capture Mileena, but she soon fled. Milina gathered her own army and started a civil war in Outworld.
The new ruler of Outworld tried to enlist the support of the earthlings, but they refused. After that, Kotal tried to destroy the remnants of Mileena’s army with the help of his most trusted fighters, including his father. Kotal’s group fails, and Kotal’s father is killed by Goro. Kotal then uses the dagger-Kamidogu to increase his powers and take revenge. The new emperor finds Goro and wins. Kotal cuts off the opponent’s hands, but does not finish off to injure him. As a result, Goro survives, and his kingdom strikes back at Outworld.
Kotal helps Sonya Blade and her husband find their daughter, but they soon interrupt their search to protect Kotal’s domain from Goro’s forces. The Emperor manages to defend his city thanks to the unexpected help of the Black Dragon clan. The members of the Black Dragon try to blackmail the emperor, but he defeats them and puts them in a dungeon, from which they soon escape.
After defeating the Shokans, Kotal makes a truce with the Goro race, and then attacks Reiko and his army, as he kidnapped Sonya Blade’s daughter, and also took possession of Shinnok’s amulet. The Emperor almost loses the battle with Reiko, but Milina and her army come to his aid. Together they defeat Reiko and free Cassie Cage and Jackie, while the amulet is handed over to the Special Forces.
Some time later, Milina and her allies attempt to assassinate Kotal, which soon fails. Kotal then helps Cassie and her squad find Mileena and retrieve Shinnok’s stolen amulet from her. Cassie’s squad copes with the task, but Di’Vora steals the amulet and goes with him to Quan Chi. Kotal decides that D’Vora and the Earth warriors have worked together for Raiden and begins another invasion of Earth to reclaim the amulet. During the invasion, Kothal’s forces manage to trap Cassie’s squad, who informs the emperor of Shinnok’s return. Kotal decides to kill the young defenders of the earth in order to appease Shinnok, but the Lin Kuei warriors who have come to help him are in the way. After Shinnok’s defeat, Kotal returns to Outer World.
Kotal knows how to use the magic of the sun, with which he heals wounds, damages enemies or enhances his abilities. Kotal can also wield the Dagger-Kamidogu, which allows him to use blood magic.
