Description
When they float on the surface, a triangular-shaped transparent crest stands out on their parasol (umbrella) about five centimeters in diameter that acts as a sail.
Disadvantages
They have a cartilaginous membrane that is no thicker than tissue paper, it sometimes harms them, because when the wind blows too strong it throws the velellas on the beaches, where they perish irremediably.
dams
To catch their prey, the velellas have long and thin tentacles as grasping organs .
