It is very encouraging and inspiring to become the leader of a nation. And even more so when we enjoy absolute freedom to do whatever we want , something that comes standard with that position. Assuming the role of El Presidente (whether man or woman), our fundamental task is to carry out the entire operation of our territory, which has very tropical characteristics as you can deduce from the name of the game itself.
It is a pleasure to become dictators and do what we please in a tropical setting of daunting proportions.
One of the main qualities that this work possesses has to do with how well balanced it is in two fundamental aspects: the fun it is capable of providing and its superb number of possibilities. And let me explain. We are facing a very deep proposal, to the point that first it is very necessary to access the tutorials on duty and invest some time in assimilating the basic characteristics of the game so as not to end up overwhelmed by so many options, menu screens, actions and tasks that can be carried out. A relatively complex compendium that, however, thanks to the sense of humor and the sympathy that the title radiates, is very much to discover. That is his big secret. How do you get such a virtue? Well, very simple: posing very crazy situations that we can carry out with total freedom, skipping any established law or norm since we are dictators … unscrupulous? Well, only if we want to. Causing accidents that result in the death of citizens who do not make us much amused, making the meanest bribes you can imagine, planting ourselves in foreign territory in an infiltration plan to wreak havoc from the inside … it depends on uscarry out the selfish and ruthless acts that we want , although we always have to be aware of the consequences that may entail.
Because don’t be fooled: this is a very deep management simulator, very slow, more than normal even for a game of its nature. The possibilities and options that are at our disposal are enormous, and we must be aware of the country’s economy as well as many other areas such as building buildings that we consider fundamental (such as hospitals, for example), maintaining our army … even be aware of the levels of pollution to which we subject our nation! And as we progress, we are accessing new eras, another common feature of this saga that brings a lot of freshness to the title as a whole. But it is a game that requires a lot of dedication, that is unquestionable, and it becomes more entertaining and absorbing the more hours we dedicate to it. The latter can be a double-edged sword, you have to be aware of it,
Few Switch titles exist in the simulation and management genre, and fewer are as entertaining as this one.
What is more objectionable is its visual section, which is at a level clearly below that shown on PC and other consoles. I believe that the fact of having been able to transfer the extensive mapping that this work has to the Nintendo console has merit, but it is true that some sacrifices have had to be made to achieve such a feat. The animation frame rate is one of them, which tends to drop below 30 frames when the graphic load is high. The degree of detail shown by the sets has been significantly reduced, and in general the visual quality is clearly lower in this conversion. But it is also true that no one (or very few) go into this type of proposal due to its visual finish, so it seems to me a lesser evil … as with theabsence of online multiplayer mode , another cut that this edition has experienced.
It has merit to have been able to transfer its extensive mapping to Nintendo SwitchFortunately, the sound section has kept the type better. The melodies enliven and cheer up the games, all of them clearly Caribbean air. The dubbing in Spanish is very good and is much appreciated in a title of this style, and more considering the great sense of humor it exudes. And as for the effects, they go a bit more unnoticed but in return all of them are made with success.

Tropico 6 stands out despite not being the best version of all, given that in relation to the rest of the deliveries its visual finish is not as sharp or detailed, it has lost some feature such as its multiplayer mode along the way and, incomprehensibly, not Includes standard DLC packages that appeared for the original game. However, it continues to achieve remarkable quality and, as soon as you immerse yourself in its general approach, it can keep you busy for many, many days.
