Metal Gear Solid

Third installment of the brilliant series conceived by the genius Hideo Kojima, Metal Gear Solid was released by Konami in 1998. The protagonist is Solid Snake, former member of Fox Hound, who has the task of saving Donald Anderson (director of DARPA) and Kenneth Baker ( President ArmsTech), both taken hostage by a terrorist group, while thwarting a nuclear attack on Shadow Moses Island, Alaska. Solid Snake will have to verify the real possibility of a launch of a nuclear bomb by the terrorist group and possibly prevent it, however the situation will vary during the mission, new companions in adventure, new enemies to kill and new sensational revelations mark the adventure, up to bring it to the last, big, twist.
Metal Gear Solid revolutionizes the concept of “Stealth Game”, a perfect mix of strategy and action, taking the series to the third dimension. Solid, in fact, in addition to indicating the name of the protagonist, also indicates a graphically “solid” game.

Choosing “only 10 games” among the many masterpieces available on the first PlayStation console is really difficult. That’s why it is right to give due credit to other titles that have marked its history and contributed to its success:
Crash Team Racing, Legacy Of Kain Soul River, Tekken 3, Spyro The Dragon, Street Fighter Alpha 3, Dino Crisis, Ape Escape, Tenchu: Stealth Assassins, Tomb Raider II, Driver, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater, Dance Dance Revolution, Grand Theft Auto Series, Medal of Honor Series and many more …
