MK Anwar

MK Anwar. He was a popular Bangladeshi politician who associated with the Bangladesh National Party (BNP). He is the most successful person ever born in Homna , Comilla . Anwar served as Minister twice and became a Member of Parliament five times consequently. He is considered one of the main political leaders of Bangladesh .

Biographical data

He was born on 1 of January of 1933 , in a village of Oaprchar under Homna Upazila, Comilla. His father’s name is Abid Ali, who was a school teacher. He was such a talented pupil from early childhood and proved his talent in almost every exam of study life. Anwar studied at Mathabhanga Bhairab High School, Homna. Passed Dhaka university tuition in 1948 with letters. He then passed the ISC from the same university in 1950 . Anwar completed his undergraduate and master’s degree in statistics at Dhaka University.

Career

He began his career by joining the civil service in 1956 . He was Deputy Commissioner in Dhaka and Faridpur , Chairman of the Jute and Textile Corporation and Chairman of Bangladesh Biman, as well as holding various important positions. He is a CSP officer and served as DC of the Dhaka district.

Anwar was associated with student politics during student life at Dhaka College. He became the chairman of Chatra Sangshad of Fazlul Huq Hall. Anwar participated in the Bangladesh Language Movement in 1952 . He expressed his solidarity with the student movement under the leadership of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman .

In 1991 , he joined the Bangladesh National Party before the elections and became the powerful leader of the party in no time . He elected as a member of parliament five consecutive times and a minister twice. Anwar makes a massive development of his native thana Homna using political stardom. He married Mahmuda Anwar , who is the daughter of Pakistani government Minister Abdul Latif Biswas . He has two sons and a daughter.

Death

The supreme political leader of Comilla district died on 24 of October of 2017 , was buried in the garden of mango next to his house in Homna, Comilla.
