The introductory paragraph and the closing paragraph

In expository texts, the introductory paragraph records the subject of the text, while the closing paragraph concludes with it. The structure of the introductory paragraph  is divided into three parts, namely the contextualization , the enunciation of the topic and the anticipation of the subtopics . Also, the structure of the closing paragraph  is divided into three parts, which are the synthesis of the topic , the recapitulation of the main ideas contained in the development paragraphs and the general comment .

Example introductory paragraph *

Peru is a diverse country with abundant natural products from its different regions. These  organic resources, such as quinoa, maca and potatoes, have favored and enriched the country’s culinary culture. For this reason, Peruvian cuisine has become more privileged in the preparation and presentation of its typical dishes. And, at the same time, thanks to this diversity of inputs, it has become one of the most demanded foods in the world. Even today, the Peruvian nation offers a series of relevant and attractive gastronomic festivals.  In this way,  a series of causes explain the expansion of Peruvian gastronomy globally. The reasons for this culinary boom will be explained below.

Example of closing paragraph *

In summary, the factors that cause the expansion of Peruvian food globally have been exposed. One of the causes that influence the diffusion and evolution of food is the richness of natural products, which have allowed the diversification and finesse of typical dishes. Another factor that explains the gastronomic growth of the country are the international fairs such as Mistura, which every year receives guests from haute cuisine, tourists with a good palate, learners of gastronomic art and the general public. In our opinion, Peruvian food is one of the best in the world and the one that most attracts diners in South America. In this regard, Peruvians should be proud to have one of the main cultural attractions on the continent.
