What’s going on in Fortnite right now? Season 6 has started in Fortnite and has already brought some new features to the game, such as hunting wild animals. After update 16.10, which was installed on March 30, there are now Velicoraptors on the map from Season 6. The dinosaurs have hatched from their eggs and are making the island unsafe.
These new predators can also be hunted for materials. But you can also make them your allies by taming them. But how does it work? Worth the effort? We will go into these points in more detail here in the guide.

This is how you tame dinosaurs
What you have to do? If you come across a Velicoraptor, don’t be unprepared as they will attack you. It is best to make a hunter’s coat first so that the dinosaur does not see you as a direct enemy; this prevents an attack that can even be fatal.
After that, it gets a bit tricky, because the Veciloraptor no longer attacks you, but you’re not connected yet. The dinosaur will continue to explore the area, but in order for you to tame it, it has to stop. The best thing to do is stand in front of the dinosaur and block its path, because the Velicoraptor can easily destroy your walls like a barrier!

Is it worth taming it?
What are the advantages of taming? Aside from the fact that it can never be a bad thing to have more allies in a round, taming dinosaurs has several advantages. An important point is that later they no longer attack you, since the dinosaurs can kill you with 3 bites, that would certainly be an important advantage.
However, you can use their aggressiveness, because as soon as you have tamed them, they will attack your opponents. By the way, they not only attack your player’s opponents, but also all the wild animals that want to attack you, including the other velociraptors. So if you’ve always wanted a dinosaur as a bodyguard, this is your chance!
When is it not worth taming it? If you don’t have enough materials to make a hunter’s coat, then you should avoid Velicoraptors. If you can’t defend yourself from the dinosaur, the encounter may not end well for you. So it’s up to you to decide if you want to use the inventory space for bones, meat, and a hunter’s coat, but remember that you can then have fewer weapons with you.
