You have recently purchased an Android smartphone and, being your first phone of this type (before you used an old mobile phone without an app and Internet connection), there are some things that you just can’t understand, first of all how to use the Play Store to download applications and games. Don’t worry: if this is the way things are, you will be happy to know that I’m here to help you and clarify your ideas on how Google’s digital market works.
To log in to the Play Store you need to perform some small preliminary operations (the most important is the creation of a Google account, if you don’t already have one), but then it’s all very simple. I assure you that in a few taps you will be more than ready to download all the apps you want.

How to create a Google account
If your intent is to log in to the Google Play Store , which is the virtual store through which applications and games are downloaded, purchased and installed on Android devices, the first procedure you need to perform is the creation (or configuration) of a Google account .
Usually, the creation of a Google account is a procedure that is performed when configuring a new Android terminal but, if you want to create a new account to add to your device, you can proceed from the settings menu (accessible by pressing the icon of the gear ). Then go to Users and Accounts> Add Account> Google> Create an Account and follow the onscreen instructions.
To create a Google account from a PC , on the other hand, you can connect to the home page of the well-known search engine , using a browser to browse the Internet. On the main screen, click on the Login item located at the top right and then click on the word Create an account , following the instructions on the screen.

How to log in to the Google Play Store
Once you have created a Google account , it must be configured on your Android device in order to use Google services and to access the Play Store . On PC, on the other hand, you just need to log in to the platform with your account. But let’s go in order.
Android
If you have created a Google account from Android , by performing the operations I indicated in the previous chapter , you should automatically have access to the Play Store , or the virtual store of Android devices, whose icon is located on the main screen of the same.
If, on the other hand, you have created a Google account from another device, such as a computer, the operation you need to perform is to associate the account in question with Android. This operation is carried out from the Settings panel of this operating system, by selecting the items Users and accounts> Google and typing the login data of your Google account. Once this is done, you just have to open the Play Store and check that the automatic login has been carried out. Then tap on the Play Store icon (the colored ▶ symbol ) and wait to be able to view the main screen. By pressing on your profile photo at the top right, you can view the linked Google account.
Once logged in, use the search engine at the top to locate the application you are interested in downloading and then, install it on your device by pressing the Install button .

Computer
If you want, you can also log in to the Google Play Store from your computer , so you can see the complete list of applications and games that you can buy and install on Android.
To do this, open the browser you usually use to surf the Internet and go to the play.google.com site to see the home page of the Google Play Store on the screen .
Now, click on the profile photo at the top right and, in the box that is shown to you, click on the item Login with Google . All you have to do is type in the login details of your Google account ( Gmail address and password associated with it) to log in. During this stage, you may be prompted to correctly respond to the security method ( 2FA ) set in your account.
Accessing the Play Store from a computer can be useful for remote downloading of games and apps. To do this, just locate the application you want to install and then press the Install button from the Choose a device drop-down menu . At this point, click on the Android device you are using, click Install and OK . The application you selected will be automatically downloaded to your Android smartphone or tablet. Convenient, don’t you think?
How to access the Google Play Store with another account
If you have another Google account, other than the one already configured on your Android smartphone or tablet, with which you want to access the Play Store, you can easily perform this operation in a few simple steps.
On Android , launch the Play Store via its icon on the home screen and press on your profile photo at the top. To do this, press the ▼ icon next to your account name to expand the items in the on-screen box.
Then press on the wording Add another account and then on the Google entry . All you have to do is log in by typing your Gmail address and the password associated with it (possibly even exceeding the security method set) to log in with the new Google account.
You can switch from one account to another in the Play Store, starting the latter, pressing on the profile photo at the top and selecting the one you prefer from the list that is shown to you.
On a computer , however, you can do the same by going to the play.google.com website . If you are already connected with a Google account, click on the profile photo at the top right and click on Change account .
In the screen that is shown to you, choose another Google account from those listed (if you have already logged in in the past) or press on the item Use another account , to log in with the new Google account, an operation that will be reflected automatically also on the web version of the Play Store.
How to log in to the Google Play Store without an account
Want to log into the Google Play Store without an account ? In this case, I must immediately warn you that the download and installation of apps from the Play Store can be carried out only and only if you have a Google account, a topic I told you about in the previous chapters .
If you don’t want to use a Google account to install your apps on your Android smartphone or tablet, then you can rely on other alternative stores , like the ones I told you about in this tutorial .
