The books have various prices , always in Simoleon. To increase the skill you want, just choose the suitable book, select the quantity you want to buy and press the check icon .
After that, just interact with the library again , press the Read option and select the book you purchased. Your Sim will start reading it and can raise the skill level this way.
As for the workstation , sold at 1,100 Simoleons , it allows you to gain experience with robotics and to raise this skill for what concerns your Sim. In short, if you want to play without “cheating”, you just need to carry out the activities related to the skill you want to “enhance” normally.
