The Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4 week one challenges have arrived and they are definitely not the easiest things to solve. At this point in the season, you’ve definitely experienced chrome for yourself. There are fully chromed map locations, chromed animals and chromed weapons, but did you know about chromed vehicles? The full text of the challenge wants players to “drive different types of chrome vehicles” with the requirement of three different types. The bad news is that there are no natural generation chrome vehicles. Not yet, at least.
You will have to create your own chrome vehicles and the good news is that it is quite simple. Your first stop will be one of the fully chrome map locations.
Your options are:
- Lustrous Lagoon
- Herald Shrine
- glittering shrine
- cloudy condos
You’ll want to open chests and smash chrome-covered walls and items until you get at least one vial of Chrome Splash.
From here on, you’ll need to find at least one car, no matter what type, but make sure you remember which one it was.
Throw the Chrome Splash at the vehicle, then hop in the driver’s seat. As far as we can tell, there is no difference between a chrome and a normal vehicle.
If you can collect three Chrome Splashes, your best bet is to head to a gas station. They usually have more than one type of vehicle around them. Once you get through three vehicles, you will have completed the challenge.
