What differences will I notice if I have GPT-4 Turbo enabled in Copilot?
GPT-4 Turbo has introduced two quite notable advantages that differentiate this model from the standard GPT-4 model that came using the AI chatbot from Microsoft until now.
The first and most important thing is that now Copilot will take less time to respond to our requests. You will notice this right away, especially when you ask questions that require more complex or elaborate answers.
Another novelty that GPT-4 Turbo introduces is its updated data: the model is capable of handling updated data until April 2023. This is a notable difference compared to GPT-4, which is based solely on information prior to September 2021.
Although Copilot is connected to the internet and can consult updated data with the help of the Bing search engine, the fact that its knowledge base extends until 2023 helps to obtain more reliable answers.
You can disable the Bing search engine in Copilot if you want the chatbot to be guided only by the information contained in its database. To do this, in the upper right area of Copilot click on “Add-ons” and deactivate the “Search” tab. a>”.
