These are quotas that Chrome has not even come close to, but it is also true that the competition was lower, and global users, much less. Not surprisingly, we can still find it in a good part of Windows 10- based computers , not to mention those that have Windows 7 , for example. In fact, for many users around the world, it is still their first choice, either out of ignorance, or out of necessity.
It is still very important in some companies
Despite being rejected by most users, in some business environments it is still an important browser. This is because this program is the only one that supports certain protocols that have been around for decades, and that despite being outdated, they continue to work. This is something that, as we say, is reduced to certain business websites that have not evolved much, and therefore require Internet Explorer as a browser .
Hence precisely that, for example, the new Edge includes an Internet Explorer mode that the user can activate if needed.
