Call of Duty: Warzone – solving technical problems

Dev errors, low frame rates, freezes in splash screens and more

In 2020, it seemed to many that the battle royale genre had already exhausted itself and was nearing decline. However, the creators of Call of Duty managed to breathe new life into it, simply by competently fusing the developments of all major predecessors and bringing them to mind. The result is Warzone mode , in which it is very easy to “drown” for hundreds of hours. But, alas, this process of “immersion” cannot be called super comfortable, due to some technical problems.

Most of the bugs and errors have already been fixed by the developers, but not all. We’ve put together proven solutions to the problems that remain.

How to fix freezes in Call of Duty: Warzone cutscenes

This could be due to a slow storage device where the game is installed. Try installing the game on a solid state drive (SSD) instead of a hard drive. Please note that more than 100 gigabytes of free space will be required. In addition, try disabling loading of shaders during movies in advanced graphics settings.

Call of Duty: Warzone freezes / crashes

Perhaps the problem is overheating of the video card. Check to see if the fans of her cooling system are stuck in adjacent wires. If everything is in order with this, then try resetting the overclocking: go to the MSI Afterburner application and press the Reset button (if such a program is not installed, then the video card most likely did not overclock).

Gamepad (controller, joystick) does not work in Call of Duty: Warzone

The developers have limited the ability to use the gamepad on a PC. On servers where players use mouse and keyboards, Xbox controllers and most others will not work.
