Brain Training: the video game that trains the mind

The first Brain Training del Dr. Kawashima: How Old Is Your Brain? it debuted on the Nintendo DS and had an immediate and unexpected success, selling over thirty-three million copies worldwide in its various incarnations. Today Doctor Kawashima’s video game turns fifteen and lands on Nintendo Switch.

Brain Training for Nintendo Switch is presented to the public in a redesigned version that takes advantage of the new features of the hybrid console, re-proposing the tried and tested scheme of simplicity and immediacy of training for the brain.

The daily training formula involves completing a series of mini-games lasting a few minutes, such exercises that increase in complexity from day to day, leading the player to increase their concentration, logic and mnemonic skills.

Among the exercises are the classic Sudoku and Chinese Morra, already present in previous versions of Brain Training , but also some unpublished tests that put a strain on mnemonic and calculation skills. Some mini-games take advantage of the IR motion camera on the outside of the Joy-Con controller or require the use of the stylus contained in the package.

A welcome novelty is multiplayer mode which, in addition to the ability to face users online, allows you to train with your family or compete with friends in local sessions in anticipation of the organization of the World Brain Training Championships announced by Nintendo.
