Apex Legends Squad Composition Guide:

A detailed description of the strategy and tactics of fighting for various units with an emphasis on head-on collisions or surprise attacks

In the second part of the Apex Legends team play guide, we’ll show you the best builds for players who like direct or stealthy attacks. If you prefer defense, we recommend that you read our first guide.

Elusive squad

Group members:

  • Mirage;
  • Caustic;

If you prefer to deceive, confuse and disorient your opponents, then this squad was created just for you. You can literally run in circles around enemies, causing real chaos on the battlefield. Both Mirage and Rafe are very difficult to catch, especially if you have a good understanding of how and when to use the skills of these characters.

Your task on the battlefield is to annoy and confuse opponents. Thanks to this, it will be difficult to kill you, since each character is able to escape or hide from sight. In battle, use Caustic gas traps to block key points or doorways. Mirage can also lure enemies into a gas trap with his decoy, or use a poison cloud to quickly retreat.

In a team with this composition, the Wraith portals will deliver a much greater irritating effect, since enemies are also able to move through them. Use this fact to your advantage. Have Caustic set up traps on the other side of the portal so that when they exit, the enemy will instantly take damage. By being creative, you can blind and crush your opponents to the point where some of them simply lose heart.

Ambush squad # 1

Group members:

  • Bloodhound;
  • Caustic;

The poison traps that Caustic uses are perfect for setting up ambushes. After that, use Bloodhound’s ability to detect nearby enemies, thanks to which Mirage can use one of his lures to lure them into Caustic’s trap. While the enemy is choking on the poison, finish him off.

Ambush squad # 2

Group members:

  • Rafe;
  • Bangalore;

Rafe is a great option for luring opponents. While this character is doing this, Bangalore must shoot a smoke bomb at approaching enemies to catch them off guard. Subsequently, Bangalore and Rafe will be able to circle around opponents who feel like “hedgehogs in the fog” and inflict damage without fear of missing a retaliatory strike. Lifeline is in standby mode and is used only if one of the two (or both) characters needs an ambulance.

Attacking build # 1

Group members:

  • Gibraltar;
  • Rafe;

A squad for those who do not like various tricks, tricks and dexterous movements. The selection of characters is aimed at putting serious pressure on opponents. As in the previous section, this build was created for those who like to plunge headlong into battles. Gibraltar is able to withstand slightly more damage than other Legends, which is largely due to its ability to set a shield. If he is injured, then Lifeline will quickly raise the fighter to his feet, while Rafe is engaged in the distraction of opponents.

Ambush squad # 3

Group members:

  • Bloodhound;
  • Rafe;

This unit is designed to organize unexpected and rapid attacks on the enemy. Bloodhound, Rafe and Mirage have all abilities that enhance the assassin’s playstyle.

Rafe and Bloodhound have skills that allow them to know that there are opponents nearby. Rafe hears a strange voice, and Bloodhoun sees the enemies with his own eyes. And they can be tagged for other squad members. Wraith’s main ability allows her to move through the Void, quickly moving around the location and avoiding all damage. Thanks to her ultimate, the brave warrior creates a portal between two locations, through which both allies and enemies can pass. Bloodhound also has a passive skill that allows him to scan a nearby area for opponents.

Using Bloodhound and Rafe together will allow you to very often attack enemies who simply do not expect this. And in some cases, you will kill them before they have time to realize that the enemy is nearby. What is the role of the Mirage? In fact, you can put another character in third place in the squad, but using the Mirage will add even more cunning to your attacking attacks.

Use Mirage’s main skill to distract opponents with your clone while Bloodhound and Rafe prepare for a surprise attack. As soon as the Mirage begins to attack, he can use his ultimate for the final disappearance: the Legend creates a huge number of clones to distract the enemy while the real Mirage moves to a safe zone. Once Bloodhound and Wraith join the fight, the Mirage can be used to launch another surprise attack.

Attacking build # 2

Group members:

  • Caustic;
  • Bangalore;

Caustic is designed for offensive play, since its abilities, based on the Nox poisonous substance, allow you to quickly fill large areas with a cloud of poison. With the support of Bangalore, which not only moves fast in the heat of battle, but can also throw smoke grenades and launch shelling, you can cause real chaos in a short time.

Even Lifeline will be able to participate in this fun, finishing off lagging opponents. It will be doubly useful when it comes to restoring health points. The fact is that Caustic and Bangalore will have to pause between attacks, and it is during them that Lifeline will be able to heal these characters’ wounds. In non-combat time, you should focus on summoning high-level gear pods.

Squad with a bias towards the final of the game

Group members:

  • Rafe;
  • Bloodhound;

Do you often lose at the end of the game or want to find an alternative way to win? Rafe, Bloodhound and Pathfinder will help you confuse opponents at the end of the game. In addition, this selection of Legends will allow you to find the shortest path to the last circle using various abilities.

For example, Pathfinder can create a short escape route using tight ropes, and his passive skill allows you to define the playing area after the next narrowing. All in all, Pathfinder who should be on your side for extreme cases. A character who can open up new escape routes if required, and also direct you in the right direction.

Combined with Bloodhound and Rafe, both of whom are extremely useful characters in terms of orientation and space management, you can track where opponents are going, as well as adapt to a specific situation and try to get to where the enemy might be in the next moment. And instead of taut ziplines, you can retreat using Wraith’s portals. The hidden capabilities of this squad are plentiful, and when you are in the final face to face with another enemy squad, you will be able to make the most of the capabilities of each Legend.
