Developed by Amplitude and published by Sega, Humankind is a great new 4X strategy game that has the potential to become quite a serious competitor to the Civilization series. It has many elements that resemble the Civ, while also introducing several new mechanics that help it stand out from the competition. Here’s how to change the difficulty setting in Humankind.
Change the difficulty in humanity
A game of Humankind can be pretty brutal depending on the environment you’re playing in, as AI opponents can get really aggressive and hostile, and you could also quickly lose control of your empire if you don’t focus on stability. The good news is that you can change the difficulty before the game starts by going to the game settings menu.
From there, you can select the settings that you think will best suit your skill level. We’ve listed all the difficulty settings below, along with their changes:
Village

- -50% FIMS in all cities
- -50% Fe
- -50% influence
