The vacation certificate is a document by means of which, an institution, company or a school, makes it public knowledge that a person who works in the company or institution, or in his case a student of the school, is or will be on vacation, in a specified period.
They are documents that are used by employees in the official and business sphere, to carry out various procedures concerning obtaining visas abroad, verifying both that they work in a certain company or institution (which is in charge of issue the document), as well as that the person is or will be on vacation in a certain period, which is defined within the record itself, specifying such dates in the document itself.
This type of document is also issued by educational institutions, to verify that the school authorities have decided to grant an extraordinary period of vacation to students, granting each student a vacation certificate, which may be useful for students to obtain some benefits such as student discounts, for example on foreign transportation, accommodation and other services.
Parts of a record:
For the writing of a vacation certificate there are some basic points to follow, which are:
- State the date and place of issue of the document.
- Place in the name of the person to whom it is addressed, or where appropriate put “To whom it may concern”.
- Indicate that the person from whom the certificate is issued belongs to the company or institution.
- Indicate that the person is or will be on vacation.
- Indicate the days on which the vacation period occurs or will occur.
- Formulate a polite farewell.
- The position of the person issuing the certificate is exposed.
- Firm.
- Stamp of the issuing institution.
