Synopsis
The book recounts the adventures of a current twelve-year-old boy, Percy Jackson, when he discovers that he is a demigod; the son of a mortal, Sally Jackson, and of the Greek god, Poseidon. Percy and his friends go on a quest to prevent an apocalyptic war between the Greek gods Zeus and Poseidon.
The first title in the collection, where you must discover who has stolen Zeus’ lightning and thus prevent a war from breaking out between the gods.
At the cinema
In 2010 it was made into a movie with the name Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief , by Chris Columbus, the same one who directed the first two parts of Harry Potter .
Second part
The second part, entitled “The Sea of Monsters”, puts Percy Jackson before a new mystery when the Meriwether School is exposed, without magical protection, and the only solution is to go in search of the mythical Golden Fleece, for which Percy must cross the fearsome Sea of Monsters with his friends. The point is that the young man will also discover a disturbing secret about his family.
