Initial settings and configurations
Before you can set up a VPN on your FRITZ! Box, you must first make some initial settings and download certain programs. The first thing you should do is go to the VPN Service Page and download the FRITZ! VPN and Configure FRITZ! Box VPN Connection files . These are compatible with Windows 7, 8 and 8.1 in 32 and 64 bit versions.
Next, you will need to set up a MyFRITZ! with your FRITZ! Box. This will allow you to remotely access your device from the internet. If you don’t know how to do it, you can follow this link . Subsequently, you must identify the domain name of MyFRITZ! .
To do this, you must follow the following path in the FRITZ! Box user interface: Internet> MyFRITZ! > Address of MyFRITZ! . It starts at https and ends at myfritz.net. Finally, you must set the IP network of the FRITZ! Box, since it must be different from that of the other connected router.

To do this, in the FRITZ! Box user interface, open Home Network> Network> Network Settings> IPv4 addresses . Once there, you must indicate the IP address 192.168.10.1 and subnet mask 255.255.255.0. If at first the IPv4 addresses option does not appear, you must click on Advanced View.
Create a file with VPN settings
After completing the steps above, it is time to use the Configure FRITZ! Box VPN Connection program to create a file with the VPN settings. First, access it and click on New. Then, select “Configure VPN connection for one user” and click on Next. Then select “Computer with FRITZ! VPN” and then Next.
Then, enter the email of the person who will configure the VPN settings and click Next. After this, a new tab will appear, in the Name section, you must enter the domain name of MyFRITZ that we found out previously and click Next .
Then, if you have not changed the IP address, select “Apply factory settings of the FRITZ! Box for the IP network”. If not, activate the option “Use a different IP network” and enter a different IP address and subnet mask than those of your FRITZ! Box . To do this, if the IP subaddress ends in .1, put the same one but it ends in .0, this so that there is adequate communication.

Finally, activate the option “Send all data over the VPN tunnel” to select Next and Finish. This will create an automatic folder with all the necessary IP settings to connect the VPN to the FRITZ! Box.
Setting up the VPN on the FRITZ! Box and FRITZ! VPN
Once the folder is created, it is time to configure the VPN on the FRITZ! Box. To do this, in the device interface you must follow this path: Internet> Allow access> VPN> Add a VPN connection> Import VPN configuration from an already available file> Browse . Then, select the file created using using Configure FRITZ! Box VPN Connection.
You must then import these settings into FRITZ! VPN. To do this, you just have to open the program, click on File and then on Import. Select the created folder, then Open and finally Finish .
Finally, you just have to establish a VPN connection. To do this, you just have to have internet access, open the program and select the symbol with the domain name of MyFRITZ !.
