Daniel Bermudez Samper. Colombian architect. His work shows qualities that notably differentiate him and a perfect knowledge of the project and construction ; which comes from his idea that architecture is primarily responsible for protecting and welcoming human beings in their daily lives, giving them the best of the outside world: natural light .

biographical synthesis

He was born in Bogotá , Colombia in 1950 . He is the son of the architect Guillermo Bermúdez.

Trajectory

Graduated in 1973 from the Universidad de los Andes , where he has been a professor since 1975 . He is currently a full professor. He is part of the team of professors that leads the degree project and is a member of the Architecture, City and Education (ACE) research group.

As an independent architect, he has an extensive production among which the following stand out: The El Tintal Public Library ( 2001 ), The Julio Mario Santo Domingo Public Library Cultural Center ( 2010 ), the Postgraduate Building ( 1997 ), the Library ( 2003 ) and the Visual Arts Museum of the Jorge Tadeo Lozano University ( 2005 ), the Alberto Lleras Building ( 1991 ), the Planning Plan, the recovery of Block B ( 1998 ) and the Carlos Pacheco Devia Building at the Universidad de los Andes ( 2005 ) , all of these in Bogota. He also designed the Quala Industrial Plant in the Dominican Republic ( 2003 ).
