Doctor Razio is the same excellent student from the first row, who is in every class. Witty and gallant, with that special charisma that is inherent in many geniuses. However, he also has a quirk: the man categorically cannot stand fools and their company. He is ready to hide even in a plaster head, just not to share space with people who do not strive for knowledge.
Razio is straightforward and, oddly enough, narcissistic. The doctor has an army of female fans on social networks, although he paradoxically calls himself an “ordinary person.”
In this guide, we’ll cover everything about Ratio: from choosing relics to creating the perfect team.
About the character
- Rank : SS
- Damage type : imaginary
- Path : hunting
- Role : Single Target Damage
The scientist’s personality is so outrageous and extraordinary that he became the subject of a separate study. They even wrote a biography about him, “The Privilege of Wisdom: An Analysis of Dr. Ratio.” Can his sharp mind and unbreakable logic turn into an insane force on the battlefield? Yes! Dr. Ratio is one of the best characters for dealing massive damage to a single target, especially good against bosses.
Ratio’s gameplay, like him, is not without its quirks: to deal maximum damage, you need to apply a debuff to your enemies: weakening effects, such as slowing down or reducing attack power.

How to get Ratio
Dr. Ratio was a free 5-star reward that was sent to in-game mail from January 17, 2024 until the end of version 2.1.
Like any other event hero, Ratio can be obtained in gacha. The event banner has a philosophical name “Everything flows, everything changes” and perfectly reflects the essence of this extraordinary character.
Event gachas in Honkai: Star Rail work like this:
- guaranteed to receive a legendary item at jump 90;
- increased odds (soft guarantee) start from 75th.
There is a 50/50 mechanic: when you roll 5, you have an equal chance of getting Ratio or a legendary hero from the standard banner. In case of a “loss”, the next legendary item in the temporary Jump will be an event one.

Ratio Skills
Ratio is not only a brilliant scientist, but also a teacher. However, his classes are a real test for students. You’ll be lucky if someone leaves his lecture with a zero mark. He even manages to evaluate some particularly “outstanding” students negatively. Such remarks with assessments can be heard during his attacks.
Main
Upgrade priority: Talent → Super Ability = Skill → Basic Attack.
Name | Type | Description |
Knowledge is power | Basic attack | Ratio hits one enemy with a book, dealing 130% of attack damage as a fake. |
I think – I exist | Talent | When Doctor Ratio uses his skill, he has a 40% base chance to perform an additional attack that deals damage equal to 337.5% of his power. The chance increases by 20% for each debuff inflicted on the enemy. If the enemy has 3 or more debuffs, the bonus attack is guaranteed to occur.
If Ratio’s initial target dies before he can land a bonus hit, he will automatically switch to another random opponent and attack them. |
Intelligent assistance | Skill | A powerful attack with imaginary damage to one target, damage figures are 187.5% of strength. |
Syllogistic paradox | Superpower | Deals 288% damage to a target enemy and places a “Shortsightedness of the Wise” mark. When an ally or their familiar, such as Topaz the Pig, hits a monster with this status, it triggers a Ratio bonus attack. There are 2 additional hits in total. Using the super ability resets the counter if:
· charges are not used up, but the ult was cast on the same monster or another; · if you use the ult on another enemy. |
Sculpture of an idol | Technique | Creates a special field with a figure of himself for 10 seconds. This provokes enemies in the radius of the ability to attack the statue inside the field, and not the characters.
When starting a battle with this field, all enemies will be 100% slowed by 15% for 2 turns. Only one such field per team can exist. |
Traces
Intelligence is the most powerful weapon, and Ratio is a direct confirmation of this thesis. Therefore, let’s carefully study the talents of a genius in order to defeat the “fattest” boss in a few moves.
Name | Elevation level | Description |
Summary | 2 | For each enemy weakened, Ratio’s critical strike chance increases by 2.5% and critical damage increases by 5%. This effect can stack up to 6 times. |
Conclusion | 4 | When using his abilities against an enemy, the hero has a 100% base chance to reduce the target’s resistance to effects by 10% for two turns. |
Conclusion | 6 | If the enemy has 3 or more debuffs, then Ratio’s damage to this monster increases by 10% for each negative status. This can increase the damage to 50%. |

Light Cone (weapon)
For Ratio, the signature cone is the best option, as the personal weapon is many times stronger than other options in terms of power and synergy with the scientist’s talents. If choosing between Ratio’s first constellation and his weapon, the cone will be better, as it provides more useful effects.

Baptism of pure thought
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ |
The owner’s critical damage is increased by 20-32%. For each debuff on an enemy, critical damage on that target is increased by another 8-12%, up to 3 times. Using the ult on an enemy gives the owner the “Debating” status for 2 turns, increasing their damage by 36-60% and allowing the bonus attack to ignore 24-40% of the target’s defense. | Ratio’s Signature Cone . Gives a good bonus to critical damage and enhances abilities. Important plus: the “Discussion” status, which allows you to ignore part of the enemy’s defense during a bonus attack.
Anxiety and bliss
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ |
The owner’s critical chance is increased by 18-30%, and the damage of the bonus attack is increased by 30-50%. After the bonus attack, the target is inflicted with the “Tamed” status, up to 2 times. When an ally hits an enemy with “Tamed”, each stack increases critical damage by 12-20%. | Signature weapon Topaz . Gives a bonus to damage from bonus attacks, which is important, since this is the main source of damage for Ratio. Increases critical chance, which simplifies the assembly of artifacts. An important plus that puts this cone in the top 2 is the ability to impose the “Taming” mark, which is considered a debuff.
Galaxy Cruise ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ |
Owner’s Critical Chance is increased by 8-16%. Against enemies with 50% HP or less, Critical Chance is further increased by 8-16%. Defeating an enemy increases Attack Power by 20-40% for 2 turns. | Free Legendary Cone for Hunters from the Virtual Universe Store. Good if you have no other options, as it helps balance crits.
Fencing ⭐⭐⭐⭐ |
Attacking the same enemy multiple times increases damage by 8-16% per hit, up to 5 times. The effect disappears when changing targets. | The best epic cone on Ratio due to the passive to increase consecutive hits. At the maximum awakening level (R5), it surpasses the legendary cone from the Gerta store and all others, except for the signature ones Topaz and Ratio.
Only silence remains
⭐⭐⭐⭐ |
The owner’s attack power increases by 16-32%. If there are two or fewer enemies on the battlefield, the owner’s critical chance increases by 12-24%. | Increases attack power, a viable option for Ratio, as this is the stat that affects the damage of his abilities. |
Relics (artifacts)
Source: CQ.ru, frame from the Honkai: Star Rail trailer / All enemies are like pawns on a chessboard
Ratio’s strength is concentrated in bonus attacks and debuffs on enemies, so artifacts should be chosen based on these facts.
Statistics in artifacts :
Body | Legs | Sphere | Connecting ligature (“rope”) |
Critical Damage or Chance | Speed > Attack Power% | Bonus of imaginary damage | Attack Power % |
In the lower stats look for : speed > crits > attack > effect resistance.
Basic assembly
Relics | Planar decorations |
Discoverer of Dead Waters (4) | Duran wolf dynasty |
The best set of relics for our doctor. “Pioneer” increases damage to enemies with debuffs, with Signature Cone you will get even more damage. “Dynasty” is the new best option for planar jewelry for Ratio: it will increase the bonus attack and critical damage.

Set
Relics | Planar decorations |
Burning Duke (2) and Desert Bandit Cutthroat (2) | Frozen Salsotto |
“Duke” has become a classic set for heroes with damage from bonus attacks, but our handsome guy is better off with a 2×2 set with “Cutthroat”. This combo will increase the damage of “bonuses” by 20% and imaginary by 10%.
“Salsotto” will add another 15% damage to the ult and bonus attacks. The condition must be met: critical chance is greater than 50%, but this threshold is easy to reach.
Best squads for Ratio
The best bonus attack squad
The team is called RRAT – an abbreviation of the first letters of the heroes’ names. An unusual and even the only squad in the entire game, because synergy is achieved between the heroes.
Ratio | Topaz | Robin | Aventurine |
Topaz and Doctor Ratio’s bonus attacks help Aventurine gain stacks. Aventurine and Topaz apply debuffs to enemies, helping Doctor Ratio to stack 3 for a 100% chance to activate a bonus attack. Aventurine and Doctor Ratio promote Accountant Topaz with their “bonuses.” The trio complements each other perfectly.
The cherry on the cake was Robin, whose super ability propels the heroes’ actions forward, and their bonus attacks multiply the damage buff from the singer’s ult.
False squad
Except for Silver Wolf, all the heroes in the same element squad are imaginary, but the girl is only here to impose a vulnerability of this type on the enemies.
Ratio | Yukun | Silver Wolf | Aventurine |
The squad goes into battle against enemies that have no apparent vulnerability, then Silver Wolf makes his move. If the boss has an apparent weakness, then the girl is replaced by another debuffer, for example, Pela.

Eidolons
Source: CQ.ru / Doctor’s Eidolon Shards
The hero copes well with game content without constellations, but if you are one of those who hunt for Eidolons, we recommend stopping at 2. Rich whales can safely spin up to E6 Ratio.
Key Eidolons Ratio : 1 → 2 → 6.
Level | Name | Description |
1 | Pride comes before a fall | The first constellation enhances the Generalization Trace and gives +4 to the maximum level. At the beginning of the battle, the hero instantly receives 4 levels of Generalization, which gives a significant advantage. For the constellation to work, you need to unlock the desired Trace. |
2 | The divine is in the details | Makes Ratio’s bonus attack, described in his talent, even more devastating. Now, when this blow hits the target, it deals additional imaginary damage, which is calculated from the number of debuffs on the enemy. For each debuff, the damage increases by 20% of the hero’s attack power, and this effect can be stacked up to 4 times for one “bonus”. |
3 | Know yourself | + 2 skill levels.
+1 level to base attack. |
4 | Ignorance is a vice | Allows Ratio to restore energy for activating the talent. Now each such attack additionally gives 15 units of energy. This allows the scientist to use his superpowers more often. |
5 | This is how they go to the stars | + 2 levels of ult.
+2 levels to talent. |
6 | Truth conquers all | The sixth constellation improves two aspects of Ratio. First, the “Shortsightedness of the Wise” mark now has 3 charges. Second, the damage of the talent’s bonus attack is increased by 50%. |
Dr. Ratio is a unique and powerful character. The main thing to remember is to maintain weakening statuses on your enemies to maximize damage.
