Kena: Bridge of Spirits: Walkthrough

Prologue

Once the game starts, you will need to select a difficulty level. At first, three modes will be available (from easy to hard), although after completing the entire game for the first time, you will unlock the “Master” level. Once we select the difficulty, we will be told about the game world, and then we will gain control of Kena, the main character of the game. The first thing you need to do is press L1 to use the pulse. This will send an energy wave (pulse) in different directions, which will light objects similar to spirit lanterns. We go forward through the cave. We can explore its nooks and crannies, although the main goal is to follow the glowing objects. This is how we will get to the pond, where we will see a platform with a ghost. We stand on the platform and activate the light pulse (L1) to illuminate the path forward and open the door opposite.

We move forward and jump down to watch a video. We are told about the basics of combat. The R1 button allows you to perform a light attack, R2 – a heavy, but slow one. You can dodge with the “circle”. We defeat the first four enemies, each of whom will die from 3-4 hits. We dodge incoming attacks and use the time between enemy attacks to counterattack. Then we examine the huge door. There are shrines to the left and right of it. We use the light pulse to light both altars. We stand on the central platform and use the pulse to open the doors (provided that both shrines located on the sides are lit). Then we move forward and climb the steps to go out into the forest. Here you can interact with the shrine on the right side. It seems that nothing special happens in this case. When we are ready, we move forward until we find a fallen tree. Click on the “triangle” to go under the tree and see the video.

After the video, we will be able to get our first Decay. This is a small, black creature with glowing white dots. Use a light pulse to hit the creature. Get closer to the fallen Decay and press “triangle”. As a result, we get the first Decay. Watch the video, and then use a double jump to climb to the hill. Continue moving forward, jumping over the chasms. Ahead we see a glowing puddle. Use a light pulse to get the second Decay. A little ahead, on the right hand, we find a small cliff. There is a stone temple with drawings carved on the walls. One of them glows pink. This is a sign that there is a Decay nearby. Use a light pulse to find it. Looking at the stones, turn around 180 degrees and walk along the fallen tree. We see glowing lanterns. We use the light pulse to find the next Decay in one of the lanterns.

After that, we jump down and look for a waterfall. In front of it, there is a round platform with blue stones. We use a light pulse on the pedestal to open the way to the waterfall. There we find a small altar. We activate a light pulse and find another rotten. We leave this sanctuary and go forward. Directly opposite the waterfall is a small stone temple. We go inside and see two children. We follow them until we find ourselves at the chest standing on the left side. We open it and get a rotten. We return to the waterfall and look to the left to see a large tree with filth. Now that we have collected all the rotten, we can order them to attack the corruption or carry any objects. We rise above and go forward to the stone wall on which the rotten ones are. We rise up using the X button and go down to the other side. It’s time to fight the enemies. Here we learn that the rotten ones can distract our opponents. At first, when enemies appear, they hide, but gradually we accumulate courage points, and the rotten ones can attack. We spend determination to give orders to the rotten ones right during the fight. Courage/bravery points will fall out of enemies when you attack them. Use the light pulse to collect them. We collect enough courage points and press “square” when aiming (L2) to order the rotten ones to attack the filth on the tree. We use the light pulse to destroy all the corruption. We finish off the remaining opponents.

We use the rottenlings and the pulse to destroy the corruption above, above the stone wall, thanks to which we find a way forward. We climb the stone wall and go forward. In the next area, we continue moving straight until we see a small rectangular stone with a rope. We order the rottenlings to pick it up and order them to move it to the right place. We go along the dirt path to the wall on the other side and place the stone near the ledge. And then we climb to the top. There is a fallen fox statue here. We pick it up to earn karma points. The latter is useful for in-game purchases. We go to the other side, follow further and soon find the first boss. This is Sprout.

This is your first more or less huge enemy. In fact, he has only two techniques: a heavy attack with a swing and a combo of two light blows. You can dodge these attacks, although the goal of the battle is different. We are offered to learn how to parry and use a shield. To use the shield, press L1 and hold this button. The purple bar in the lower left corner of the screen shows the shield’s power. By raising the shield, you gradually deplete it, so you should not hold it on a constant basis. To parry an enemy’s attack, you need to press L1 just before the enemy’s weapon hits you. If everything is done in time, the enemy will be stunned and will be safe for 2-3 seconds. We repeat the actions until we win. We can also distract the enemy with the help of the rotten ones, if we have enough courage points. After the victory, we destroy the corruption using the rotten ones and a light pulse. This will open the way forward. But first, we watch the video in which we meet Benny and Saya. They will tell you that they need help finding Taro’s older brother. If we help find Taro, the children will show us the way to the shrine in the mountains. In addition, for defeating Sprout, we will receive three rottenlings.

Tarot tree

We go forward, talk to the children, eliminate the opponents and clean the place of infection. We learn about sticky tears: these are blue flowers that allow the rotten ones to unite, forming a huge beast. To control this beast, we use the game mouse. We head to the corruption and press the left mouse button to destroy the obstacles. We open the road to the next gate. Then the children will show us a place where we can plant a seed. We talk to them and look to the right. We order the rotten ones to turn over the bucket and bring the glowing seed to the place shown by the children.

We plant a seed, which results in the appearance of sticky tears. We get rid of all the damage in the area in the temple of flowers, and receive a reward – crystals and karma. We climb up the ledges, follow the log on the right side. Once we get to the fast travel point “Forest Path”, we go to the clearing and destroy the opponents. Among them will be the most powerful enemy. As you win the battle, sticky tears will appear.

We open two passages. Using a sticky tear, we unite all the rotten creatures into one creature and destroy the damage. One passage hides a house with a box containing a headdress. And behind the second passage lies a stone with a rotten creature. We head to the gorge to the dark forest and look for a mask (an orange mark indicates it). Find Rusa

In order for Taro to remember who he is, we need to help him. We go in search of three relics. The children will point to the Rusu tower, which is in the mountains. We turn around and head back where we came from. We find three stones near the ravine, under one of them we will find a rotten. On the left side we look for a log, and under it there will be another rotten. We can also go to the bush and interact with it so that fruits fall, which rotten like to eat. For this we get karma. It can also be earned if you pick up fallen statues.

We stand right in front of the tree and see another fallen one on the left side. Above it rises a mountain with the Rusu tower. We head towards the tree, turn to the right. We go around the fallen tree and destroy the opponents. We continue moving along the only route. Then we go up the stairs that lead to the cart with hats. Once we find it, we get a new hat “Fox”.

We return back to the fallen tree and find another rotten at the waterfall with a stone. We climb up the boulders and follow to the left side to the bush with berries. After a while we find the fast travel point “Gorge”.

Mount Rusu

We head to the lake and talk to the children. They will point to the top of the cliff, where Rusu’s hunting tower is located. We don’t go to the lake yet. We turn around and see a passage on the left side (on the right side of the path we came along earlier). We head through the forest and eliminate the enemies in the infected area, and then clean it. We can give the order to the rotten ones to place the sculpture on the illuminated stone platform.

Under the stone, in the corner we find another decaying creature. We follow Tarot’s vision from the past until we find it. We put on the mask and watch the video. Using a sticky tear, we unite all the decaying creatures into one creature, break the barrier on the left side and reach the sanctuary of flowers. We clean it and return to the sticky tears. We head to the right side and jump onto the ledge with white paint.

We turn around and run across the slippery cliff to the opposite side. We see stones with runes, press E and find a rotten. We climb even higher and cling to the ledges. We avoid slippery cliffs. We follow further up and at the top on the right side we find a bush with berries, as well as a checkpoint called “Ruins”. We look down and see white paint near the checkpoint. We jump down a little and find stones with runes. Press E and collect the rotten.

Jump on the ledges with white paint and cling to them. Somewhere you need to jump to a ledge below and climb at another point to bypass the mountain. When we come to the gorge in the mountain, do not go inside. Climb up the ledges on the right side to bypass the mountain and get to the hidden gorge with a bag (mail). Follow the broken bridge and look to the right.

Jump up the ledges to find a pot of crystals, a cursed chest and a barrel. Inside we find the “Bird’s Nest” headdress. Then we go back from the bridge and look at the ledge on the right side. We go up and ask the rotten ones to move the stone block under the white ledges on the left side. We go up and find a rotten one under the tree. There are debris on the left side, and ahead is the fast travel point “Rusu’s House” and the next vision of Tarot from the past. We follow the building to the left and see a clearing with opponents. We kill all the enemies and pick up the crystal. We ask the rotten ones to put it between the round slab and the stone door. We stand on the platform and press E. As the door opens, we go inside. We light the flashlights and engage in battle with Kappa. We use Shift and R to attack him with the rotten ones. They will distract him, and in the meantime we will be able to calmly attack him.

You should avoid exploding mines. If we approach the enemy without scorch marks, he will immediately disappear. Once we win the fight with Kapp, we head straight and enter the elevator. Next, we pick up the sculpture and talk to Rusu. Nearby is the “Rusu Tower” move point and another sculpture, we lift it. We shoot at 3 targets, turn around and go to the huge tree. Once we find a shop with hats, we will receive a hat called “Turnpin”. In fact, Rusu has prepared several more tests for us.

If we manage to complete each one, we will receive the headdress “Rusu Mask”. We find a purple pot and shoot it. Mordlings fall from such pots. We look for a passage to a slippery slope on the right side of the tree. We head there and destroy the opponents. The enemies are in the trees, so we shoot them with a bow. Once we win the battle, we direct the Mordlings to the flower, and then shoot it with a bow. Then we shoot it at the target on the right side of the bridge so that it goes down. We go to the opposite side and jump to the right. We shoot at the blue flower. We return to Rusu and activate the “Backyard of the Rusu Building” travel point.

We go down a little lower and shoot again at the blue flower on the left side. We get to the box and get crystals. Near the building we eliminate the opponents who will be hiding in the trees. Then we enter into battle with the Wooden Knight. We do not attack him openly. It is worth dodging his attacks. We shoot from a bow at the orange growths (damage). Do not forget to distract him with the help of rotten ones. Once we win, we destroy the large flower on Rusu’s house. We get the first relic – the Tarot knife.

We enter the building and pull out the shelf to get the rotten. On the left side of the building, on the opposite side, there is a place for a sticky tear. There is a device nearby. We hit the target so that the seed flies out. We plant it in the right place. We head through the passage opposite the building where Rusu is. Press E and stop the rotten with an orange flower. We get a new headdress called “Flower”.

Shoot the blue crystal on the sculpture to make the seed fall and sticky tears appear. With their help, we unite all the rotten ones into one creature and destroy the filth. We free the temple of flowers. We return to the sculpture and look to the side. At the top there is a mechanism with three gears: we ask the rotten ones to move the middle gear. Then we shoot at the bottom one, right at the blue crystal. When we complete these actions, we climb onto the ledge and jump onto the platform. We move along it and shoot at the blue target. We shoot at two blue flowers in the air to get to the box with the headdress called “Feather”. We find a descent down and interact with the fast travel altar. We return to the place of travel “Gorge”. We swim to the far left corner across the lake, to the cliff on which the Rusu tower stands. We find a stone and pick up the rotten one under it. Tarot tree

We go back from the Tarot tree through the forest. We pick up a rotten from the purple pot. On the right we see a sanctuary of flowers. There is a glowing crystal on the tree. We shoot it with a bow so that another crystal lights up. You need to hit 4 crystals so that sticky tears grow. With their help, we unite all the rotten into one creature and destroy the corruption. We cleanse the sanctuary of flowers. We go back to the Tarot tree and look to the right. We climb up the fallen tree in the corner and cling to the blue flower. We jump on the ledges and find a stone, under which we pick up a rotten. Again we follow through the forest from the tree towards the village. On the right there will be a cliff, and below – water, on the opposite side – a blue flower. We cling to it and get to the other side. We find a headdress called “Butterfly”.

Village

We return to the village and look for a building on the right side at the exit from the Tarot Tree location. You should deliver a message from Mount Rusu to it. If we do this, we will receive a lot of crystals. We pick up a decaying creature under the piece of wood. There is a box with a headdress called “Ladybug” behind the building. There is a temple of flowers at the crossroads. There is a place for sticky tears on the left side of the building. We shoot at the glowing point on the tree. Using sticky tears, we unite all the decaying creatures into one creature and destroy the damage. We cleanse the first sanctuary of flowers in the village.

Forgotten Forest

We move to the place called “Tarot Tree” and head to the right side of the large tree. In front of us we will see locked stone doors. We shoot at the glowing symbol on the left side, above the doors. We shoot the rest one by one and go through the stone gate towards the Forgotten Forest. Here we find the travel point and Rusa. We lift the sculpture on the right side and look for a bush with berries on the left side. We go straight and look to the left side, and we encounter an energy barrier that prevents us from getting to the Lantern Cave. We head to the right side of the cave and see the first shrine. All shrines are marked with blue markers on the world map. We head to the left side along the stream and examine old objects. We pick up the Tarot vision from the past. We approach the desecrated sanctuary and see 4 stone pedestals with bowls, which are arranged in a circle. Your task is to light them in the correct order. We shoot like this:

– We look at the shrine, shoot at the cup on the right side, behind it (the highest one)

– We turn around to see the tree opposite the shrine and shoot at the bowl on the right side

– We shoot into the bowl on the left side of the tree

– We turn towards the shrine and shoot at the bowl on the left side of it.

If done correctly, the bud will open and we will be able to cleanse the curse. If we do it wrong, we will have to fight two flying insects.

We go to the right side of the sanctuary, through the pond, turn to the left side and see a bush and the first Cursed Box. Now we need to eliminate the opponents in the allotted time. We can activate the ability that allows you to charge the arrow with energy. We shoot at the orange growths on the last enemy with a sword. Inside the box we find Tarot’s headdress.

We go along the path, look up and see a jug hanging on a tree. We shoot and pick up the rotten. We go to the yellow marker, which points to the shrine. If we clear all 4 shrines, the entrance to it will open. On the left side of the shrine, we look for a sculpture that can be moved to one of the three stands on the right side of the entrance to the shrine. We go to the right side of the three platforms and find the second sculpture. We ask the rotten to move it. We move up the world map, along the left path from the locked door of the shrine. We turn left and go across the bridge. Behind it, we go to the left, near the pond we climb onto a stone and shoot at the bowl to make a fire appear. We pick up the rotten under the stone on the right side. We go back and look for the third sculpture before going down into the ditch. In front of the corruption are fragments of two stones. We look for crystals on the left and right sides. We ask the rotten to install them in place of the destroyed stones. We stand on the highlighted platform and press E. We activate the mechanism and blow up the flower. There are two more sanctuaries to free. Behind the sanctuary is a large log with filth. We swim to it, stand on the edge where there is a rune. Press the E key. Four targets will appear in the air. We make shots and pick up the rotten. We cling to the blue flower and see a box. Inside is a mask of children. There will be a filth in the corner on the left side. We remove it and ask the rotten ones to move the stone cube to the wall on the opposite side (rectangles are shown). We go up and ask the rotten ones to remove the wooden boards on the right side.

Using a sticky tear, we combine all the rotten ones into one creature and destroy the corruption. We move forward, through the fallen log. We cleanse the sanctuary of flowers. We return through the log and turn around. At the top we see an open blue flower. We cling to it, and then we are pulled to two more while Kena is in the air. As a result, we will find ourselves at a stump with a bag. From the sanctuary of Water, we head along the path on the left side, we pass under the bridge made of a log. We stand in a circle and press E. When we see 3 stone platforms, we jump to the left one, turn around and shoot at the glowing bowl on the ledge. The platform will rise up. We jump to the bowl and open the cursed chest. Next, we need to eliminate 7 flying enemies with a bow and rotten ones. We take crystals from the box. We go down and jump on the platforms to the left, to another circle. It would be needed if we were going in the opposite direction. We go to the water on the right side and turn left into the gorge, in it we pick up a rotten. We examine the trees on the left side. There will be wooden bridges on them. We find a place where we can reach for a blue flower, and rise higher.

On the first climbs, you should turn around and look the other way to see a place to grab onto. Climb up the ledges and jump onto the green branch. Cling to the tree opposite. Go along the ledges to the right and find a pouch. Continue moving up until you reach the shrine. Kill opponents and destroy the filth. Use the flowers to climb up to the shrine. Talk to Rusu and pull yourself to the blue flower above him. Head further and press the E key. Pick up the rotten. Turn around, go the other way and jump to the other side. Ask the rotten to turn over the bucket and plant the seed. Stand on the block and shoot the crystal. Use the sticky tear to combine all the rotten into one creature and destroy the filth.

We go down and clean the sanctuary of flowers. We search the containers and jump down. We return to the beginning of the location, go up to the sanctuary of the forests, destroy the damage and eliminate all opponents. We go to the opposite side along the log and jump to the waterfall. We go behind it into a secret gorge with a box. We pick up a headdress. We can also climb from the stream to the ledges with a cart with headdresses. We get another headdress. We stand in a circle and press E. We win the battle, distracting the enemy with the help of the rotten ones. We shoot at the orange corruption. We activate the skill called “Corruptible Hammer” (Right mouse button + R). We remove the filth in the gorge and pick up the second Tarot relic. For defeating the mini-boss we will also receive 3 rotten ones.

We head towards the passage towards the Lantern Gorge and eliminate the wizard. We talk to Rusu and break the red spheres that are chasing Kena. After killing the wizard, the remaining opponents will disappear. We activate the “Corrosive Hammer” skill and the rotten ones. As soon as the barrier opens, we pick up the rotten one hidden under the stones. We go forward and examine the objects on the left side. We follow the spirit, destroy the barrier from the filth and pick up the last vision of Tarot. We shoot at 3 crystals from left to right and plant a seed. Using a sticky tear, we combine all the rotten ones into one creature and destroy the filth on the left side. Then a road to the meditation point will appear.

We head to the right and remove the filth. We eliminate the opponents, again unite all the rotten ones into one creature and destroy the corruption until we see its heart. Do not rush to go to the gorge. We remove the corruption on the right side and cleanse the last sanctuary of flowers. We go down to the gorge and activate the point of movement. Inside there will be a fight with the keeper of the sanctuary. We shoot the filth with a bow and activate the skill called “Corruptible Hammer”. As soon as we win the battle, we will receive three rotten ones and the third relic. We leave the gorge and ask the rotten ones to pick up the lamp. We install it next to another, at the altar in front. We shoot at the nearest crystal, and then – in order at the rest, the glowing ones. We eliminate the corruption and on the left side we look for a box with a headdress.

Tarot tree

We return to the Tarot tree, where we need to install three relics, and fight Tarot. We ask the rotten ones to attack him and shoot at the purple dot. We wait for a lamp to appear on Tarot, and shoot at it with a regular or saturated arrow. Once we win the battle, we watch the cut-scene. We receive the Tarot mask for the rotten ones. We can also meditate at this location. We activate the travel point and return to the village.

Village

Return to the old villager and take Adira’s mask from him. If you manage to find two bags of mail, go to the main street and throw the letters into the box on the left side. Go into the alley and find a spirit. Using a sticky tear, combine all the rotten ones into one creature and destroy the damage in the house. Go back to the main street and cleanse the flower sanctuary. Pick up the rotten one on the shelf. Head to the house on the opposite side of the street, go up the stairs and put the letter. Inside we find three cursed chests. Open them one by one and get a rotten one, crystals and a headdress.

We go to the left side of the world map, activate Adira’s mask. As a result, remove the first barrier. Using a sticky tear, we combine all the rotten creatures into one creature and destroy the filth, clean up the garden. We free the flower sanctuary under the mountain on the right side. Now we head to the left side to the pier. We will see the fast travel point “Village Pier”. We activate it and open the cursed chest. If we climb to the top of the building under which the box is located, we can find a purple lamp. We shoot at it and pick up the rotten creature.

We head back to the vegetable garden with a sticky tear and pick up the sculpture. We take it to three platforms. The second sculpture is nearby, the third is near the pond, on the pier. We install them and get the headdress. We cross the bridge and open the gate. After the bridge we go to the left. We jump on the slabs and take the headdress from the box. As soon as we find the mail in the barn, we can return to the village and put the letter in the mailbox. We eliminate the opponents and cleanse the damage. We shoot at the middle, right and left crystals near the pond to pick up the rotten one. As soon as we see the target and crystals, we use them to lower the bridge and create a quick route to the village pier. Barn

We enter the barn and go straight ahead, stand on the platform. Watch the video and throw bombs (Shift + Right mouse button). The bombs will not explode immediately, we can shoot from the bow to provoke an explosion. We head back and throw them at the debris on the left side. We climb onto the ledge with white paint and eliminate the opponents. We blow up the filth and find a bag in the building. We go up the stairs on the right side of the building. We create panels from stones (on the right side there is a box with crystals) and follow the necessary mechanism.

We blow up the mechanism, make two shots at the top and one shot at the middle and bottom. Aim at the crystals. Head down, towards the character. Then we can go back and blow up the stones on the left side, jump higher, shoot at the crystal on the middle stone and jump to the box containing the crystals. We climb up to the opposite side using bombs and go straight. We go down into the gorge and begin to eliminate opponents. We throw bombs at them and shoot at the orange spheres in the center. We gain the upper hand over everyone and remove the filth. We throw a bomb at the stone platforms and jump up them. We jump onto the ledge on the left side and find a box with a headdress. We blow up these same platforms again and shoot at the crystal on the platform ahead. We throw a bomb at the stone on the right side of the platform and cling to the blue flower. We climb up and blow up the red flower and go to the second mechanism. We blow it up and turn the three parts so that they light up. We go up the stairs near the mechanism, remove the stones from the road and activate the test. Next, you need to hit 5 targets to win the rotten. We blow up the stones near the closed door and the character, stand on the purple spot and press E to find the rotten. We open the door.

Fields

We head straight ahead, after the spirit, enter the tower and put on the mask. Then we leave it and follow it to the left. We throw bombs at the debris and cling to the blue flower. We blow up the debris under the ledge with white paint and jump down. We find a chest with a headdress. We blow up the same debris, but now we shoot at the blue crystal on the middle, longest part.

We cling to the blue flower and jump from the long part to another ledge with white paint. We go around the tower and jump onto the white ledge, where we find a meditation point. We return to the location and blow up two stones on the right and left sides with bombs. We shoot at the blue crystals and blow up the debris under the third stone. We jump up and cling to the blue flower. We blow up the stone and shoot at the blue crystal. As soon as we activate 3 crystals, we can go down, under the tower. We fight with opponents and use energy to lure out the rotten. There is a purple stone in the corner.

We pass through the opening and get to a closed door. On the opposite side we can see a red flower. We shoot at the blue sphere on the ceiling to plant a seed. Using a sticky tear, we unite all the rotten ones into one creature and destroy the filth until the flower opens, and then eliminate it. We go into the opened door and create a bridge. We move the sticky tear to the sanctuary of flowers. We pass along the bridge and jump to the opposite side. We grab the white ledges with a running start and climb to the left. We eliminate all the opponents and blow up another filth. Next, we blow up the stones and jump straight. We give the order to the rotten ones to capture the second sphere and shoot the crystal on the stone, and then do the same with the third sphere. Now we blow up the main node so that the fields are cleared, which will lead to the completion of the quest “Adira’s Love”.

Jump straight and go down the ledges. Once we get to the elevator, go a little further and lift the beam. At the same time, pick up the rotten and go up on the elevator.

Eliminate the enemies near the building and blow up the stones. Jump on them from the building and turn the platform, shooting the crystal. Blow up the stones on the left side and shoot the crystals on both platforms. Grab the blue flower and jump onto the roof of the building. Take the rotten one from the box. Head to the left side to Rufus’s barn. Shoot the blue target to set the slab in motion. Jump on it and then jump off to the left side.
