If you are not particularly familiar with the CRPG genre and role-playing games in general, I recommend focusing on warriors. City Day
At the beginning of the game, you will find yourself in the market square, where you will have to somehow while away the time. After the conversation, explore the square. Familiarize yourself with the game controls. You can pause the game by pressing the Spacebar, and if you hold down the TAB key, you will highlight all objects available for interaction. These can be objects and characters. The map opens as standard by pressing the M key. The Q and E keys allow you to rotate the camera, choosing a convenient angle. There are different markers on the map. The most important characters or objects are usually marked in purple. At the bottom of the map, there are all the competitions you need. Go down and find a mannequin. Hit the mannequin to complete one task. Then, to the right of this place, look for a bench where you can sit down and try the best drinks in the city. Yanna Aldori will also be there. After sitting down, interact with the mug on the left, and then watch a long cut-scene. Eventually, the quest will complete and you will fall into the caves beneath Kennabres.

You already have your first weapon ā a light crossbow. However, you will soon discover another one. Move through the cave until you meet Siila and Anevia. If you help Siila, the warrior will be able to pull out Anevia without receiving any penalties. If the check is failed, Siila will receive a penalty to the characteristics. It will be temporary. Siila is your first comrade, while Anevia will travel with the group, but will not join it permanently. Go further and search the first chest. You will also be able to find a scale lying on the ground. Continue moving until you meet a new companion ā Camellia. Here you will be told about the squad’s abilities, and you can choose Camellia, her healing skill (key “1”) and use it on the girl herself to restore some health. Kill the first opponents and pick up the second Terendelev scale from the ground.
Continue moving until you meet Lann and Wenduag. Both will join your team, but only after you thoroughly search the room and find a glowing sword. Interact with it. Choose any options while viewing the memory. Successful checks will give experience, and so on. Show the light, after which Lann and Wenduag will become part of the squad, and you will be able to go through the opening in the corner. You will overcome this blockage in any case. Finish off the two spiders. There is also a second blockage on the left side, and behind it are a couple of opponents and a staff for healing light wounds. Before leaving the location, you can talk to Wenduag. She offers to side with her and not show the mongrels the light.
After moving to Natholm, go forward and find the leader of the mongrel. You can show him the light or hide it. Depending on the decision you made, after spending the night in this camp, Lann or Wenduag will remain in the team. The first will remain if you showed the leader the light, and the second – if you refused to do so. There are several characters near the leader’s hut, and Horgus Gwerm stands out among them. He will offer a task. Agree. You can bargain, and instead of 1000 coins you will earn 2000 (after you leave this place). The first trader, Daira, will be next to Horgus. Then open the map, find the plot marker and get to the specified hut to rest inside it. Having done this, you will lose Lann or Wenduag. The remaining character will tell you where to move on. Go to the right side and go to the caves leading to the security labyrinth.
Talk to the mongrels near the gate of the labyrinth, and when you are ready, go inside. Explore the rooms, collect loot and kill the maddened mongrels. In the huge room with two mongrels, in the left corner, there are paintings on the wall. They have a certain color and indicate the solution to the puzzle, which you will find a little later. There are several ways out of here. Go through the door on the right side. There will be a locked chest. You can break it, but if you break it, keep in mind that everything inside will be destroyed, and you will only get resources. This path leads to the flooded tunnels. There will be the Hand of Hosilla, who has an important note about the torch. After killing, search the remaining rooms, collect loot and go back. Now go through the doors on the left side to get to the room with the pool of blood. Once here, examine the torch on the left. Pull it to open the passage. You learned about the torch from a note that fell from an enemy in the right wing of the labyrinth, Hosilla’s Hand. This path leads to another Hosilla’s Hand. Finish off the enemy to pick up the magic key. If you search the rooms, you will find a torture chamber with a pit. There are buttons in the corner. To solve the puzzle, press them in the following order:

Inside the secret room, there will be a chest with a unique sword called “Shine”. After that, go to the room with the pool of blood and turn through the door on the right. Open the doors with the magic key and find Hosilla. Finish off the enemy and the rest of the enemies. By the way, before going to Hosilla, you can set up camp and rest. When you finish the battle, you can drive away Wenduag (or decide to attack, but she will hide) or let her return to your squad. Then go upstairs and talk to Irabeth to complete the mission.

Gwerm Family Secrets
This quest can be taken from Horgus Gwerm in Natholm after talking to the leader of the mongrel. You can bargain. In this case, you will receive not 1000 coins, but 2000. But on condition that the check is successful. You will not be able to continue this quest until you complete some of the story missions and get to the tavern after the battle with Minago. When you find yourself in the tavern “Heart of the Protector”, talk to Horgus, who is next to the innkeeper’s stand. Agree to complete the mission.
The next step is to get to Horgus Gwerm’s mansion. Camellia must be in your team. Once you’ve crossed the market square and visited Deiran Arendey’s mansion (to complete the “Not the Best Time for a Feast” quest), move down the map to the Gwerm estate. Let me remind you that you must follow it with Camellia. Once you reach the estate, talk to Gwerm, then kill the enemies in all the rooms on the first and second levels. On the second tier, in the far room, click on the window in the corner to make the owner appear. Follow him into the cache and learn the terrible truth. Agree to keep everything a secret, which Camellia will certainly be happy about. The mission will be completed.

This quest is automatically activated after the destruction of Hosilla. Help Irabeth by killing all the enemies in the Kenabres Fortress together. This will happen immediately after leaving the Security Labyrinth. This will take you to the “Heart of the Defender” tavern, where you can show the previously received dispatch. This will allow you to advance the quest.
The next step is to go on reconnaissance in the Estrod Tower. Follow the indicated location down the map, below the market square, a little to the right. Here you will find spirits, and then you will be able to talk to a potential companion – the dwarf Graybor. He will show you many demons arguing among themselves. This way you will learn about the assault being prepared. You can attack the demons. On low difficulty levels, you will even kill everyone, but on normal or higher it will be difficult, so you need to act differently. Do not attack the demons, but instead wait for the moment when they attack the “Heart of the Protector” during the mission “Delayed Sentence”. After that, Irabeth will say that the best time has come to attack the demons in the tower. Go to the location and you will be able to finish off the rest of the enemies. After that, if you wish, go down to the basement under the tower to find a couple of characters and some useful items. Tell Irabeth about clearing the Estrod Tower.
City on Fire
You will receive this mission after talking to Irabeth, when you complete the quest “Captive in the Darkness”. Clear the first floor and move up. Kill all the enemies on the second floor. Do not go far from Irabeth to make it easier to kill enemies and survive. On the third level, you will find the demoness Minago. However, she will disappear and you will need to kill the remaining demons and neophytes in her place. Successfully complete a mobility check, then attack the enemies. Show the Light or choose the path of rage. If you show the light, some enemies will take your side. Deal with Minago to complete this part of the mission.
You will wake up inside the “Heart of the Defender” tavern. Irabeth will see a dispatch, which is necessary for the quest. “Spies in our ranks.” When you are ready, move to the market square, find scattered doors and windows in the corner near the crevice. Create a bridge from these parts and cross to the other side. Follow the bridge to the right to find a character named Curl at the top. This is necessary for Siila’s personal quest. You can also find a necromancer there. Kill him and get good loot. When you find yourself directly in the square where the holiday took place at the beginning of the game, move to the right and look for a passage there. A frightened servant will run up to you, who will tell you about Deiran Arendey and activate a new quest “Not the best time for a feast.” Halran and Ramien will be on the same side. Listen to the two characters. You can attack one of them or leave silently. This activates the mission “Heated Debate on Faith.”
Return to the square where the festival took place and move up. Talk to the two Plutiflings. Help them. They will tell you about the secret entrance to the Gray Garrison. After you visit the Estrod Tower and find the Storyteller in the Black Wing Library, you can talk to Irabeth about how to attack the Gray Garrison. When you want, tell the warrior that it is time to move into battle. Once you clear out the Gray Garrison, the mission will be over.
There are several magical essences inside the garrison. If you can collect them all, then talk to the Storyteller to complete the quest “Restoring the Splintered Golden Yarn”. There is also a puzzle with statues, notes in Elvish that the Storyteller is looking for, and much more. On the second level, there will be a locked door. The keys are in the far room, further down the U-shaped corridor. After opening this very door, move to the third level to meet the demon. Destroy the enemy, as a result of which the quest will be completed. Exit the location.
Common cause
The mission will automatically begin after you speak to Irabeth in the Heart of the Protector tavern. Inside, look for the dwarf Staunton Wayne, located near the stairs. Speak to him to update the mission.
The next step is to head to the Black Wing Library. But before that, visit the market square. Look for steps leading up in the square. Climb them and you’ll find two Plutiflings. Pass an athletics check, and they’ll agree to join you. Tell them about the Protector’s Heart Inn. They’ll be the first lieutenants to take part in the assault on the Gray Garrison. A little further, you’ll find some Mongrels. Pass a persuasion check, and they’ll also head to the Protector’s Heart Inn.
Complete the mission “A Heated Debate on Faith” without killing Ramien. After talking to him one-on-one, return and convince Halran. As a result, the priests of Desna will help during the attack on the Gray Garrison. Leave the market square and go up to the Black Wing Library. Do not listen to anyone, because the true crusaders are tied up and are about to be burned. So you need to attack Caleb and his squad. Be sure to pass the Athletics 12 check to save the Knights of the Flamespear. They will join you during the assault. Talk to the Storyteller and tell him that you are ready to accompany him to the “Heart of the Protector”. Thanks to this, you will automatically be teleported to the desired location. Talk to the Storyteller inside the inn. He will give you the ring as a reward. The mission will be completed after you storm the Gray Garrison.
Deferred sentence
The quest will automatically begin after you talk to Irabeth in the Heart of the Defender tavern. Wait until you need to defend the Heart of the Defender from the demons. This will happen automatically. There will be a random encounter with a messenger on the map. Talk to him and agree to return to the tavern. During the defense of the Heart of the Defender, first kill the enemies coming through the right gate. After that, you will need to destroy the large minotaur and all the arsonists throwing bombs. When the arsonists appear, you can ignore the regular enemies. Don’t forget to take the loot from the cart with corpses after the battle. It is outside. Mission accomplished!
Cold waters
Inside the Heart of the Protector Inn, talk to Jernug, who is at the door in the kitchen and guards the way to the dungeon. When you can do this, go to the Frigid Waters location, talk to the locals and help them destroy the monsters. The mission will be completed.
Outcast
Inside the Protector’s Heart Inn, talk to Forn Autumnmist, who is located near the entrance to the dungeon. When you reach the market square after studying the Protector’s Heart, go straight ahead and create a bridge. This will complete the quest The Broken City. But don’t rush. Before the created bridge, turn left to see a wounded elf named Kaylessa. Heal the girl and talk about various topics. You can kill her, which Forn asks, or believe her and spare her. Looking ahead, I emphasize that Forn is a liar, so whenever you meet an elf, do not kill her. But afterward, be sure to tell Forn about these meetings. Sooner or later, you will meet a wounded Forn on the map. Kaylessa will appear too. Trust her, and you will see your true enemies. Kill them all. Kaylessa will kill herself anyway. Or you will do it.
A heated debate about faith
As you walk through the market square, you will encounter Halran and Ramien. Study the situation carefully. You can attack one of them or leave silently. This will begin the mission “Heated Debate on Faith”. Follow the square where the celebration took place earlier, look for a passage on the right side to meet Count Deiran Arendey’s servant. Go to the hill with the fence and talk to Ramien. Do not attack the priest, but instead agree to a peaceful resolution of the situation. It remains to convince Halran. Talk to Harlan in the same place where you met him earlier, and return with good news to Ramien. The task will be completed, and the priests will join you during the assault on the Gray Garrison.
A gaze directed towards the stars
When you encounter Ramien during the mission “Heated Debate on Faith”, if you do not kill the monk, you will see Ilkessa. This quest is activated when she appears. Talk to Ilkessa, who asks you to find her priests. Then move to the mansion of Arendey Deiran, where you will find Aranka. Kill all the enemies and talk to the girl located next to the musical harp. Return back to the market square. Move to the makeshift bridge, with the help of which you got across the crack in the ground. Here you will find the knight Kenabres. Show him the handkerchief received from Aranka, and he will confess that he is actually a priest of Desna. Stand up for his defense when Harlan appears, then follow to the temple of Desna behind the market square, where you met Ramien, and talk to Ilkessa. Mission completed.
Blade of Valor
The beginning of a long journey
The mission is automatically activated after clearing the Gray Garrison. You can explore the camp, talk to various characters, or immediately look into the main tent and talk to Queen Golfri.
Banner over the citadel
Once you capture the Gray Garrison, you will find yourself in the parking lot. Complete the task above, then go to bed. The bed is located inside the commander’s tent. Pass a series of tests with different skills, and then leave the tent. This will allow you to get to the global map. You need to gradually follow it up to Dresen. If there is an obstacle in the form of a pillar on the way – a demon fort – switch to the army and kill all enemies in turn-based battles. Once a week, you can order new fighters. On the way to Dresen, there will be a random meeting with elves. This is an ambush, so attack the robbers at any convenient moment. In the end, you will reach the location “Smile of the Leper”. Here you must destroy a swarm of vescavors. While exploring the territory, you can launch the mission “Music of the Abyss”.
Once you reach Dresen, you can continue the mission. When the city gates open, go inside and kill some of the demons and cultists. Dresen has gates on the left, right, and middle. You can go here through the prison, killing the giants on the walls. You need to storm the gates one by one. If you explore the dungeon of Dresen, you will meet Arushalai. This is a potential companion. You can kill her or let her go, it’s up to you. Get out to get to the main region of the city. There is a ladder on the walls leading to the roofs. Climb up there and open the gates for your allies.
Continue walking along the wall, kill the giants, and the mission will be updated (when the last giant dies). Descend from the walls to find a passage into the ruins. This is an additional, optional location. There will be supplies there, as well as a place to rest. Kill all the enemies and return to the main gate. You can begin storming it. While your allies are breaking the gate, you must destroy all the enemies that appear. If you clear all three areas, you can storm the second gate. When you break it, you will meet a powerful demon. The same Graybor will help you in the fight. After killing the enemy, climb the walls and enter the fortress of Dresen, using the passage on the right above. But before that, you can talk to the merchant Wilser Garms.
Inside the fortress, you will find an elf named Yaniel. Free the girl and move towards the statue. There will be several enemies under it, but there is nowhere to go down. You will have to carefully explore the entire dungeon and find a way to the altar. First, go up the map to find Yoran Wayne. Try to convince him, but all in vain. After killing Yoran, you will find a closed door, behind which there are cultists and a demon. This will be a dangerous enemy regardless of what difficulty level you chose at the beginning of the game. The main thing is not to let him transform. Open the door and kill the cultists, 2-3 will be enough. This will interrupt the transformation of the main demon. Fight Corussina, who is a strong enemy in herself. Hold out as long as possible, heal your fighters, and so on. She will use disguise, so it is difficult to hit the enemy. You need a character with excellent armor and a large HP reserve. Use a defense enhancement potion on him, drink potions to heal wounds, and attack Corussina with the rest of the characters.
In this room, there is a descent to the altar. Kill the enemies and click on the banner. If you still have healing potions, now is the time to use them, because a long battle with a horde of demons awaits you. In the same hall, there is a door behind which there is a pool with human corpses. Kill the ghouls and demons and talk to Yaniel, who will show you a secret path to the Blade of Valor. Go down there and you will see a trap with a riddle. You must turn the rings so that you get a solid picture consisting of three parts. To do this, use the slabs in the floor. Turn them in any order and connect them by matching. It’s pretty simple. If you don’t want to suffer, you can try to run to the Blade of Valor right through the trap. Take the banner and hang it on top of Dresen. Choose the mythical path. Go up and meet Staunton Wayne and Minago. Attack Staunton and when his health is low, the battle will end. Finish off the traitor and collect the resources. Exit Dresen to complete the chapter.
