How to make your own cars in Lego 2K Drive

Even as an adult, I can still honestly say that I love building Lego creations. That’s why I was excited to learn that Lego 2K Drive will not only include Crossplay multiplayer and awesome racing, but also a vehicle build feature that will let you assemble and drive your own creations. It’s time to see if those years of building Lego have paid off as you head to your garage and get to work on your unique projects. That’s how!

The first step to building your own car is to go to the garage. There are several ways to do this. You can either head to the Garage directly from the main menu or drive to the nearest garage in Story Mode or Shared World. Once in the garage, select the Body Shop tab shown in the left corner of the screen; this is the view toggle button on your controller. The Body Shop is the place where you have everything you need to start designing. You can choose from the following options: Build , Paint , Group , Customize .

  • Build: This is where you can place the bricks and parts and start shaping the shape of your vehicle.
  • Paint: Repaint any part of your vehicle in matte, chrome, metallic and other unique colors and finishes.
  • Group: This allows you to block and connect multiple pieces together so you can move them together. This is very useful when you have a lot of small details.
  • Customize:Apply stickers and add decorations and even animations to your cars to really stand out from the competition.

You’ll have hundreds of dice and parts to choose from and tons of customization options, from paint to decals, and you’ll be able to earn more by playing the story, racing, and working your way through the Drive Pass. You can even swap the wheels, set the driver’s seat to your liking, and customize the horn and engine sound just the way you like it. The more bricks you have on the car, the more it will be weighed down, which will affect you during races or during a round-the-world trip. You can track your weight on the right side of the screen, as shown by the weight icon .

However, the most important part of building your car is making sure it has powerful performance for your races. Each vehicle can have the following stats: Top Speed , Acceleration , Handling , Health , Melee Strength and Mass . You can manually choose which stats your car will have, but you will need to unlock stats while playing or buy them with Lego cash. You can change the stats by selecting your vehicle in the Showroom and clicking the Stats option or in the Body Shop underCustomize the menu. Stats are sorted by rarity, and higher rated stats have better bonuses to help you succeed.

When you’re done creating your car, be sure to save it by pressing the start button on your controller and pressing the Save button. All vehicles that you save will be saved to the collection. Showroom in your garage. You can drive these vehicles around Brickland and even use them to race. To select a vehicle to ride or even change it later, select it in the showroom and click Equip or Edit . You will want to put all the effort into your work so that it performs well and showcases your artistic talent.
