Clear Alexa history
To delete Alexa history, unless otherwise configured, you will need to use the alexa app from your mobile phone. You can also set a voice command that for subsequent times will allow you to delete the alexa history without having to use the app (I’ll explain how to do it later).
First you have to open the Alexa application and click on the menu button (the button at the top left of the screen depicting three lines) and in the side menu that will be displayed you will have to click on settings . On the next screen select the Account Settings item .
At this point click on the history item to open the history configuration screen. Select the date range of the commands to delete and then click on the Delete recording item to delete Alexa history permanently.
Delete Alexa history with voice command
Having to use the app to delete Alexa history is not the best of practicality, which is why the function to delete Alexa history via voice command has been set up. This feature is normally disabled so you will need to enable it in order to use it in the future.

Next you will have to choose the time interval for keeping the history (you can choose between 3 months and 18 months) then select Confirm .
If you don’t like this solution you could try creating a daily alexa routine that clears the history at a certain time.
Deleting History Smart Home Devices
In the history setup screen you will also find the link for the history of smart home devices. From here you can delete all the history of the commands given to the home automation devices in your home (for example light bulbs and smart sockets).
This function is useful when some home automation device does not work correctly or in any case it is no longer possible to control it from Alexa. To delete Alexa history for home automation devices you simply have to click on the blue button at the bottom of the page.
