What is Aquatic Affinity in Minecraft?

In this case, it is a hull enchantment that increases the speed of breaking underwater . Or put another way, it is an enchantment that cancels out the handicaps to work underwater. Therefore, we will be able to mine in those conditions in the same way as we would do on the surface if we apply the enchantment.
How the Aquatic Affinity enchantment works in Minecraft
You’re probably wondering what the handicaps are. The answer is simple: when a player is underwater, mining blocks takes 5 times longer in terms of time than it would take outside of the water. Therefore, if you’re wearing a helmet with the Aquatic Affinity enchantment applied , that penalty will be ignored.
However, you should keep one thing in mind: this enchantment will not work, under any circumstances, when you are floating in water (and not submerged). In that case, it will also take you longer to mine , so it is important to keep that in mind. In fact, when we float, mining takes 25 times longer .
Last but not least, please note that this enchantment can only be had at level 1. Not a bad thing, by the way, since that level is enough to eliminate the problem of underwater mining .
What helmets can we enchant with Aquatic Affinity in Minecraft?
In total, there are two types of helmet that we can enchant with this skill . And one of them is worth mentioning:

We are talking about the Turtle Shell , which is very useful for working underwater for a simple reason: it allows the player to breathe for a long time underwater . How to get the Aquatic Affinity enchantment in Minecraft
There are three ways to get this enchantment in total. The first, which is the easiest, is to have the helmet or the turtle shell and an enchanting table . However, you can also choose to look for an enchanted book in a village. Or, by default, find a villager who is willing to make a trade .
However, these last two options are tricky, as the probability percentage is very low . If, by any chance, you are lucky enough to find a book with the enchantment, you will only need to use an anvil to apply the book to any case or turtle shell.
Finally, if you choose to use the enchanting table, keep in mind that you will need both the recipe and enough bookshelves . In fact, you need at least 15 bookshelves to perform enchantments. And for that, you must have previously obtained 45 books, 90 wood , 45 hides and 22.5 logs.
