After the news about the end of sales of Forza Horizon 4 in December of this year, one of the best racing arcades received a good discount, and many rushed to buy it. However, some players had a problem with entering the game – when trying to launch it, they cannot log in to their Microsoft profile.
As it turns out, this problem has been around for several years, and contacting support doesn’t help. But fortunately, there is already a solution on the Internet that has helped a large number of users. The solution was found by XT3RM1N8R . But before you get to it, you can try using a simpler tip from another player under the spoiler below.
- Sign out of Xbox Live on your PC (may not be necessary).
- Type Credential Manager in the search box on the taskbar and select Credential Manager Control Panel .
- Go to the Windows Credentials section.
- Next you should pay attention to “General Credentials”.
- Click and “Delete” all shared credentials that start with “Xbl”.
- Examples look like this:
- “Xbl_Ticket|12345…” (there are others)
- “Xbl|12345…” (there are others)
- “Xbl|DeviceKey”
Here’s a screenshot of what it might look like:
This may cause some apps that require you to sign in to Xbox Live to stop working or force you to sign in again. In any case, as stated, this solution has worked for many users.
