Like almost all games available on PC, there are a series of console commands or cheats that we can use in Fallout 4. These are a series of codes to get money, items, materials.
Inventory Tricks
These cheats allow us to get items without having to get them ourselves. It’s ugly, but it’s a great way to get everything you want.
GTA The Trilogy Cheats (PS4, PS5) – All Keys and Codes
We will tell you the most important items to get , as well as a way to get all the items at once .
- addItem itemID QUANTITY:Adds the item specified in itemID directly to the inventory in the quantity specified in QUANTITY.
- player additem 0000000F X:Add to your inventory as many caps as indicated in X.
- additem 0000000A X:Adds to your inventory as many hairpins as indicated in X.
- additem 00023736 X:Adds to your inventory as many stimulants as indicated in X.
- additem 00023742 X:Add to your inventory as many RadAway as indicated in X.
- additem 00075FE4 X:Add to your inventory as many Fusion Cores as indicated in X.
- additem 000BD56F:Adds El Gordo (Fatman, the nuclear launcher) to your inventory.
- additem 000E6B2E X:Adds to your inventory as many mini warheads as specified in X.
How to find out the objectID of an object
To use player.additem you need to find out the ID (objectID) of each of them. There are a huge amount of them and we will give you an easy way to find out the ID of any object .
It’s about something very simple:
- You just have to place the cursor over the object with the command console open.
- However, what if you don’t have that item?
- If you enter the command coc qasmokein the console you will appear in a place with a box containing a unit of all the objects in the game .
Faction Cheats
These commands are used to alter which factions NPCs are allied with , as well as to make them hostile to each other. You can, for example, make the Brotherhood non-aggressive when encountering members of the Institute. This can also be used on your character.
- addtofaction IDfaction X:Makes the specified NPC part of the specified faction based on X. If X is 0, the NPC is a friend. If 1 is a friend.
- addtofaction Faction ID X:Same as above, but applied to your character.
- removefromfaction Faction ID: The specified NPC becomes neutral to the specified faction. You need to keep in mind one detail related to your character. Let’s say your character belongs to the Brotherhood . If you make the NPC neutral to the Brotherhood, it will also become neutral to your character since it belongs to the Brotherhood.
- removefromallfactions:The specified NPC is removed from all factions. Note the warning in the previous command.
- setally Faction ID Faction ID X:Makes the two factions you specify friends based on X. If you put 0 instead of X they will be friends, if you put 1 they will be allies.
- setenemy Faction ID Faction ID X:Makes the two factions you specify… “not so friendly” based on X. If you put 0 instead of X, they will be neutral towards each other. If you put 1, they will be enemies.

NPC Tricks
These cheats are intended to take effect on NPCs, including not only normal characters, but also hostile ones.
- kill: Kills the NPC specified in IDnpc, unless it is a story-essential character.
- resurrect: Resurrects the NPC specified by IDnpc, unless the NPC is a character who should be dead for story reasons. Resurrecting NPCs who have died with decapitation or dismembered limbs can have… strange effects.
- recycleactor: NPCs from random events, such as bandits attacking a camp, are reset throughout the area .
- kah: Eliminates all hostile NPCs in the area. Note that you can kill human NPCs if they are hostile, but not story-essential NPCs.
- killall: Kills all NPCs in the area, hostile or not, except those essential to the story.
- tcai:Disables combat AI for the NPC specified in IDnpc.
- tai:Completely disables (will freeze where he is) the NPC specified in IDnpc.
- tcai:Disables combat AI for ALL NPCs in the game.
- tai:Disables combat AI for ALL NPCs in the game. Basically removes living threats from the game.
- tm:Disable the entire interface. You should not use this command.
- setessential IDnpc X:Determines whether a character is immortal or not. The character is indicated by IDnpc. If you put 0 instead of X, the NPC can die permanently. If you put 1 instead of X, the NPC is immortal.
- resetai:Resets the AI of NPCs. This is useful for fixing characters that are “frozen” or insist on walking through a wall.
- tc: Makes you control the indicated NPC. Please note that to prevent the NPC from moving at the same time as your character(the command does not cancel control of your character, it would make exactly the same movements as the NPC you are controlling), you should first type player.tc to stop controlling your character. At any time, you can re-enter IDnpc.tc to stop controlling the NPC and player.tc to bring your character back.
Mission Cheats
These cheats affect ongoing missions. In general, they do not work for past missions that have already been completed .
- sqt: Gives you a list of objectivesand IDs (what we will refer to as missionIDs) of all currently active missions.
- sqo MissionID:Shows you all the objectives for the mission specified in MissionID.
- CompleteQuest IDmission:Complete the quest you indicated in IDmission.
- ResetQuest MissionID: Resets the quest indicated in MissionID. You must be very careful with this command, because you can make items or NPCs that are essential to progress in the game disappear and therefore ruin your save.
- ShowQuestStages IDmisión: you can also write sqs IDmisión. It gives you the stages of the indicated quest.
- SetStage MissionID STAGE: First, you must enter the mission code you want the effect to be on in MissionID. Then, you must select the mission STAGE . In this case, you must enter 10, 20, 30, 40, etc., with 10 being the first stage, 20 the second…
- GetStage MissionID: First, you must enter the mission code you want the mission to take effect on in MissionID. The game will tell you the stage it is in, giving you a number in English decimal format. The command will respond with 10.00, 20.00, 30.00, etc.
- CompleteAllObjectives Mission ID:Complete all objectives for the specified mission.
- caqs: The ultimate cheat for completing missions. Complete all of your active objectives and missionsat once.
- saq: Launches all quests in the game at once. The only effect it has is that it causes the game to freeze.
Codes for SPECIAL in the modav command
These are the words (there are codes, but the game recognizes the words) that you must use in the modav command to increase your SPECIAL attributes. Apart from that, you can also indicate other values such as experience, health or maximum charge .
- charisma:
- strength:
- endurance:
- intelligence:
- luck:
- perception:
- agility:
- actionpoints:
- carryweight:Maximum load.
- health:Maximum health.
- experience:adds EXP.
Character Tricks
These cheats will directly affect our character and sometimes the NPCs in the world:
- ToggleGodMode – Can also be simply typed tgm. This activates God Mode, which not only makes it impossible for you to die in any way. It also gives you infinite ammo, building materials, and infinite carry (you can carry as many items as you want). Note that power armor still consumes Fusion Cores .
- ToogleImmortalMode: You can also just type tim. This will activate Immortal Mode. Your health bar will never reach zero, but you won’t have infinite ammo, charge, or radiation resistance. Using this command is quite dangerous , because it makes the effects of attacks that “break” parts of your body permanent.
- ToggleCollision – This can also be typed tclto disable collision detection. This means that walls and doors can be walked through even when they normally cannot . Note that this also affects NPCs and you cannot walk through invisible barriers surrounding the map. NPCs will still move through doors and walls, but will not leave the boundaries of the location they are currently in.
- setscale X: Sets the sizeof your character based on the value assigned to X. 1 is the minimum value, 10 is the maximum. Only integers are allowed.
- setlevel X: Sets your character’s levelbased on the value assigned to X. Only integers are allowed.
- sexchange:your character changes to the opposite sex than the one they currently have.
- tdetect:You are invisible to NPCs. You can interact with them, but they will never be alerted.
- setav speedmult X:Sets your character’s movement speed based on the value assigned to X. The default value is 100. The higher it is, the faster you move.
- setlevel X:Sets your character’s level based on X. You cannot set a level lower than your character’s current level.
- resethealth:Refills the health bar (maintains the radiation level).
- setgs fJumpHeightMin X:Sets the height you reach with your jumps based on X. The default value is 90. The higher it is, the higher you jump.
- setgs fJumpFallHeightMult X:Sets the fall damage based on X. The higher the value, the more damage. If you set this to 0, you will not receive any fall damage.
- modav SPECIAL X: Increases one of your SPECIAL attributes by the amount specified in X. The attribute that increases is the one you specify in SPECIAL. Modav can also be used to add experience, maximum charge…
How to find out the ID of objects and NPCs
One constant in most cheats is that you need the ID of NPCs and objects . There is a very simple way to know the ID of objects and NPCs and that is to place the cursor over the object or NPC while you have the console open . You will see a sign with the ID of what you have selected.
How to use the command console
The first thing you need to know is how to open the command console . That is, the place where you are going to type the aforementioned to activate the cheats.
In this game, it is done in a very simple way, just press the ñ key on the standard QWERTY keyboard. With the console open, simply type the command as if it were a chat window and press the ENTER button for it to take effect.
Remember that cheats work like a “switch” . That is, if you use tgm once, you activate god mode, and if you use it again with it running, it deactivates.
