Elden Ring: How to Increase Max Health

Elden Ring: How to Increase Max Health. The enemies in the Elden Ring have one thing on their mind, and that is to destroy you completely every time you come into sight. Long story short, you’ll see ‘You Died’ come up a lot in your adventures through the Lands Between, but you can always heal and increase your max health in the Elden Ring to make this happen a little less often.

Elden Ring: How to Increase Max Health

Here, we’ll walk you through everything you need to know to make sure you can rack up more hits before you see those two blood-red words spill across your screen again.

How to heal in Elden Ring

You can heal your health by using holy vials when exploring or in combat, or by resting at a grace site, which are found quite often on the map. Note that resting in a Siege of Grace will also respawn most defeated enemies.

Use the Vial of Crimson Tears to heal in the Elden Ring.

  • Equip your Flask of Crimson Tears from your Inventory.

To do this, press the Options/Menu button and go to Inventory. Select a Quickslot and press X/A to confirm. Now, select your Flask of Crimson Tears to equip them into an inventory slot.

  • Use Down on the D-Pad to cycle through your equipped items to inventory slots.

Select the Vial of Crimson Tears here.

  • Press Square/X when your Flask of Crimson Tears is equipped to use one to heal your health.

This can be done at any time when you are exploring the open world or in combat.

Keep in mind that you will only have a set amount of Holy Flask Charges each time you replenish them at a Grace Site. You can augment your Sacred Flask loadouts with Golden Seeds, which can be found throughout the open world.

These are then used at a Site of Grace by accessing the ‘Flasks’ menu and then choosing ‘Add Charge’. This will consume a golden seed.

Max Health Increase

To increase your maximum health in the Elden Ring, you need to increase your ‘Vigor’ stat, which can be done every time you level up.

The more you level up your Vigor stat, the more health you will have. Combine this with the increased charges on your Holy Flask and you can make the tough Elden Ring boss battles a little easier. Don’t forget to keep upgrading your weapons as well.

Crimson Amber Medallion Keepsake

Players can also choose to collect the Crimson Amber Medallion as a souvenir at the start of the game.

This provides a permanent boost to your max health from the start of the game, though we’d recommend grabbing the Golden Seed instead, as this will give your Holy Flasks an additional charge, which you can then assign to another Crimson Flask. load of tears
