Where to find diamonds in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom

Where to find diamonds in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom. In Zelda Tears of the Kingdom, brilliant diamonds are one of the most precious treasures you can find (unfortunately, also in real life). Players eager to rack up Rupees quickly will prefer to sell their diamonds to merchants, while those looking to add splendor to their weapons may choose to melt them down and forge a resplendent sword.

Earning diamonds can be challenging in Tears of the Kingdom, but there are methods to ensure you have a constant flow of these precious gems. While we don’t have a foolproof “get 100 diamonds in 10 minutes” strategy, here are some good ways to find these dazzling gems.

Either by completing shrines, feeding scary creatures with certain rocks, or mining them yourself, here we detail the various methods where to find diamonds in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom.

Where to find diamonds in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom

There are several sanctuaries where you will find diamonds as a reward in a chest inside, thanks to Rauru’s Blessing. These sanctuaries are the following:

  • Jochi-ihiga Shrine, located in the Akkala Highlands (3811, 1218, 0090).
  • Maoikes Sanctuary, located in the Lanayru wetlands (2277, 0150, 0079).
  • Sihajog Shrine, located in the Great Spring Sky of Lanayru (4544, -0845, 1121).
  • Yomizuk Shrine, found in Lanayru Great Spring (4412, -0610, 0334).
  • Mayaotaki Shrine, found in the Hebra Mountains (-0956, 3535, 0234).

There may be more diamond shrines, but to date, we have found and confirmed all five of them.

How to mine diamonds in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom

Caves that are scattered throughout Hyrule contain mineral deposits that could contain diamonds.. If you’re looking to sell the diamonds for cash, it would be advisable to break all the deposits anyway, as the other precious gems you get from them are also of considerable rupee value. However, you should be aware that diamonds are not very common in these deposits, but we have been lucky enough to find some during our trip.

In the Goron Caves, located in Death Mountain, you will find an abundance of mineral deposits.. We prefer to take the path that goes from the Emergency Shelter in Lookout Landing to Hyrule Castle, since that way we can collect both bomb flowers and precious gems. You can enter the cave that will lead you to Hyrule Castle from this point.

Specifically, it is essential that you break up mineral deposits that exhibit yellowish bumps and reflections, since these tend to produce objects of greater rarity, such as rubies, sapphires, diamonds and topaz.

How to eliminate Talus to get diamonds in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom

Once you defeat a Talus (the colossal rock golem that inhabits Hyrule), will disintegrate into a bunch of gems at the end of the battle. Although it is not very frequent, sometimes they can dislodge diamonds. During our numerous confrontations against various types of Talus throughout the game, we have noticed that diamonds can drop from both Fire Talus and normal Talus.

While we are completely unaware of the exact diamond drop rate, if you’re in search of these valuable gems and come across a Talus on your way, don’t hesitate to take it on.

Where to find Dondons in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom

Dondons are lovely creatures in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom, but they are extremely rare. If you’re trying to track them down (and want to know the types of gems you can get from them) here’s where to find Dondons in Tears of the Kingdom.

Dondons are fascinating creatures that will reward you with rare minerals in exchange for your glowstones and a bit of your time.. We have found that they have released diamonds through this process, although it is somewhat uncommon, as with the other methods.

In the south of Akkala, near the Lakeside Stable, is a Dondon shrine. Glide from the nearby Joju-uu Shrine towards this bonfire. (It will be difficult to spot at first, but it will become more visible as you get closer.)

Once you have reached the Dondons, perform the following steps:

  • Place a luminous stone in front of each of the five Dondons.
  • Watch as the Dondons feed on the stones.
  • leave the area. (You can take care of other tasks, but don’t witness their deposition. They are shy about doing it.)
  • He returns after approximately 10 minutes.
  • Collect your precious loot. (It’s possible to get flint and other less valuable rocks, so don’t be surprised if the Dondons don’t immediately shower you with riches.)
  • Repeat the process if you wish.

Some players support the idea that feeding Dondons more Glowstones will result in rarer ores, but our experiments on this did not yield any definitive conclusions. If we find a more effective method of obtaining high-rarity minerals from the Dondons, we’ll update this guide to share it.
