And also a chance to take a look behind the scenes of GSC Game World.
On August 12, the developers of STALKER 2: Heart of Chernobyl will hold a half-hour stream entirely dedicated to the game. During this time, the GSC Game World staff promises to show a lot of new gameplay, including the completion of an entire mission.
At the same time, players will have the opportunity to see what the development of STALKER 2: Heart of Chernobyl looks like. If there are other important news during the stream, we will add them to the text.
- The game world consists of 12 regions, differing in architecture, anomalies, and so on.
- In a game with “almost no barriers”, the player can go almost anywhere, explore any location and do anything.
- Most of the locations have real-world prototypes.
- There is at least one location where there are no other stalkers – the Swamps. But there are zombified former stalkers who were hit by psi-radiation (it is better to shoot them in the head) and a controller.
- Depending on the decisions made, the player may find themselves on different sides of the barricades. To see all the content of STALKER 2, several playthroughs will be required.
- Players will be able to feel like a stalker even if they don’t follow the storyline.
- Most items (like weapon upgrades) can be obtained outside of the story.
- Scythian, the main character of STALKER 2, will need to be fed, and sometimes he needs to sleep. Players should monitor the protagonist’s condition.
- In STALKER 2 you can explore locations that were not available in the original trilogy: for example, the church in the Swamps.
- If the player has disappeared, the AI does not know where he is and will search for him based on its assumptions.
- There are 35 types of weapons in STALKER 2. Depending on the upgrades installed, the same gun can feel very different.
- Game factions can change leaders during the game. Each faction has its own behavior model, ideology, and favorite places to create camps.
- STALKER 2 will not be an easy game. Players can die quite quickly if they make mistakes.
- The main character does not gain experience or level up – the player himself becomes more experienced.
- For STALKER 2, about three hours of cutscenes were recorded.
STALKER 2: Heart of Chernobyl will be released on PC and Xbox Series on November 20, 2024.
