How to top up Steam via Sberbank

To top up Steam in rubles, you no longer need to use third-party services. Sberbank has once again returned wallet top-ups directly from the app.

Replenishment algorithm

Let us note right away that you can top up your wallet with an amount from 100 to 15,000 rubles. The payment will be sent in dollars, but credited to your account in rubles. The service also takes a small commission of 8-9% for currency conversion.

  • Open the SberBank application;
  • Go to the “Pay” section;
  • Open “Recreation and Entertainment”;
  • Go to the Games section;
  • In the search bar, type Steam;
  • At the very bottom of the list, click on the inscription “Top up your account.
The list will include items such as “Add 5 USD to your account” and others. Do not click on them, as they only work for accounts with the US region.

After you have selected to top up your account, enter your Steam login (not ID) in one line and below enter the payment amount in rubles.

Next, you will see the payment ID and the amount in dollars. Don’t be scared, everything will be credited to your account in rubles. Usually, the payment goes through within 5-10 minutes, but sometimes it may be a little delayed depending on the bank’s workload. 

Sberbank itself does not charge a commission for replenishment, but there is a standard fee for currency conversion. For example, when replenishing by 500 rubles, you will be charged about 40 rubles in fees.
