Started playing Black Myth: Wukong but accidentally leveled up the wrong skill? Considering that the action RPG from Game Science is positioned as a pretty hardcore game, it is understandable that sometimes you need to respec skills and abilities to find the optimal balance.
While many soulslikes offer a limited number of skill resets — and they don’t come cheap — Black Myth Wukong lets you reset your choices for free. This isn’t just due to the game’s design. One reason is that the bosses in Black Myth: Wukong are so varied in their attack patterns and moves that they often present completely different challenges. In those moments, performing a skill reset can become necessary.
How to Reset Skills in Black Myth Wukong
You can reset skills in Black Myth: Wukong at any Guardian Temple by selecting the “Light Sparks” option in the self-development menu.
To completely reset all talent points, hold “F” – this is the fastest way to perform a full reset. Alternatively, you can open the individual skill trees for your abilities and spells to return individual talents. Select the talent node you want to return and press “R” to return the Sparks at no additional cost.
Note that you cannot refund points for talents that are required to unlock abilities further up the skill tree — you will have to start at the bottom nodes and work your way up if you choose to reset individual talents. When resetting skills, remember that the number of points invested in the Staff Stance skill tree determines how many Focus Points you will have available.
As you can see, the system has its own peculiarities – you will have to get used to it, but in general it works adequately and should not cause any particular problems
