How to defeat Guangzhi?

Guan Zhi is a large wolf armed with a flaming spear. He uses long series of attacks that you have to dodge. At the end of the series, there will be a small window to counterattack.

Try to keep your distance until the Immobilize spell becomes available. After that, freeze the enemy and deal as much damage as possible. If Guan Zhi’s attacks set you on fire, use 3-4 dodges in a row to put out the fire.

Reward for defeating Guangzhi

As a reward for defeating this boss, you will receive the following resources and spells: Will x524, Yarn x2, Red Tide spell . Behind the boss arena is also one of the three bells you need to ring to get to the secret boss.

Wandering Dead

Where to find the Wandering Wight?

  • Black Wind Mountain => Wolf Forest => Forest (outside)

From the “Wolf Forest [Forest Outside]” altar, run forward until you see this boss. He will be walking along the path between the trees.

How to defeat the Wandering Wight?

The Wandering Wraith is a huge boss with a stone head. He hits hard, but his attacks are fairly easy to avoid. It’s recommended to defeat Guan Zhi first to get the Red Tide spell. It does a lot of damage and will make this fight easier.

Start the fight with a strong attack, then use the spell “Immobilize”. Perform a series of quick attacks, the last blow of which can stun the enemy. This can be done up to 3 times in a row if you keep an eye on the stamina bar.

After using your combos at the start of the fight, move on to the Red Tide spell. After transforming, focus on strong attacks to deal maximum damage.

The boss mainly attacks in close combat, but can also use a long-range attack with a stream of air. His shock wave hits the hardest. So if you see him touch the ground with his hands, run, this attack has a very wide range.

Between cooldowns of the Immobilize spell, you can easily take cover behind the surrounding rocks and trees. The boss is very slow, so it will take a while to get to you.

Rewards for defeating the Wandering Wight

As a reward for defeating this boss, you will receive the following resources, curiosities and spirits: Will x688, Spirit of Stone x1, the curiosity “Cat’s Eye Beads” and the spirit “Wandering Wight” .

Please note : You can only collect the spirit after you receive the Blessed Bottle from the Wise Mentor. You will find him by climbing the stairs to the right of the Bamboo Grove [Snake Path] altar.
If you kill the boss earlier, then after receiving the spirit bottle, you can collect it from any altar.

Ling Xuzi (King of the Yaoguai)

Where to find Ling Xuzi?

  • Black Wind Mountain => Wolf Forest => Guanyin Temple

From the Wolf Forest [Guanyin Temple] altar, go up the stone stairs on the left and you’ll find yourself right in the arena with this boss.

How to defeat Ling Xuzi?

Ling Xuzi is a large white wolf that requires a lot of preparation. Before the fight, make sure to craft Enhanced Armor at the Altar to increase your defense stats, and defeat Guangzhi to obtain the Red Tide spell.

The boss will mostly use sweeping claw attacks that can be side-dodged. Sometimes he will also try to bite you, but his mouth has a limited range, so this attack is easy to avoid.

Focus on dodging his claws, because after Ling Xuzi misses, you can quickly counterattack. Otherwise, use Immobilize and Red Tide as soon as they become available.

Rewards for defeating Ling Xuzi

As a reward for defeating this boss, you will receive the following resources and equipment: Will x693, Yarn x3, Mind Gem material, and the Gray Wolf Mask headdress .

Guan-mou (elite yaoguai)

Where to find Guan-mou?

  • Black Wind Mountain => Bamboo Grove => Snake Path

From the Bamboo Grove [Snake Path] altar, jump over the rocks on the left to drop down to the lower part of the area. Then climb up the ledge to your right and run along the path to the right. Once you reach the grove of trees, follow the torches to get to the arena with this boss.

How to defeat Guan-mou?

This boss mainly uses a combination of ranged projectile attacks and poison. He can also summon small snakes that can still deal significant damage if you run out of stamina to dodge.

As soon as he says something like “Boys, welcome our guest,” switch from the boss to these snakes and destroy them as quickly as possible. To do this, it is enough to perform one quick attack on each.

Otherwise, the strategy is the same as before: start with a strong attack, then use the spell “Immobilize” and perform a series of quick attacks. Wait for the cooldown of “Immobilize” and repeat. If you have already received the spell “Red Tide” earlier, use it to deal powerful damage.

Rewards for defeating Guan-mou

The rewards for defeating this boss are: Will x528, Stone Spirit x1, Iron Ox Blood material, and Guan Mou Spirit . Behind the boss arena is also one of the three bells you need to ring to reach the secret boss.

Baoligulan (Elite Yaoguai)

Where can I find Baoligulan?

  • Black Wind Mountain => Bamboo Grove => Snake Path

From the Bamboo Grove [Snake Path] altar, jump over the rocks on the left to drop down to the lower part of the area. Then follow the river upstream to the very end.

How to defeat Baoligulan?

Baoligulan is a large toad that doesn’t require any special strategy to defeat. Its attacks are weak and it’s clumsy, so you can just click on it. Overall, it’s one of the easiest bosses in the game.

Rewards for defeating Baoligulan

As a reward for defeating this boss, you will receive the following resources and spirits: Will x395, Yarn x2, Tadpole material and Bao-li-gu-lan spirit .

Xiucai in White Robes (character)

Where can I find Xiucai in white clothes?

  • Black Wind Mountain => Bamboo Grove => White Mist Marsh

Face the Bamboo Grove [White Mist Marsh] altar and run along the path to the left from there. Go down the wooden walkways to the very end to face this boss.

How to defeat Xiucai in white clothes?

White-robed Xiucai is the first boss to be fought in two phases, each with its own health bar. In the first phase, he mainly uses melee attacks, while in the second phase, he grows a snake tail and switches to ranged attacks.

If you’ve defeated all the previous bosses before, you’ll have an advantage due to the spells and spirits you’ve collected. Also, make sure you’ve helped the Shen Monkey and upgraded your bottle when you go down the wooden walkway to this boss.

Start the fight with the Immobilize spell, then immediately go into the Red Tide spell and use strong attacks to deal a lot of damage. Then use a series of fast attacks and dodge to the side when the boss attacks you.

At this stage, we do not recommend using strong attacks, as Xiucai in white clothes moves very quickly and you will most likely miss. When the first health bar is depleted, the second phase will begin.

The boss will grow a snake tail and switch to ranged attacks, launching air currents with his trident. By this point, your Immobilize spell should be off cooldown, so you can use it again.

Then continue to use fast attacks, healing incoming damage with the bottle. If you managed to finish the first phase without spending a charge of healing, then in the second you can simply rely on brute force.

Rewards for defeating Xiucai in white robes

The rewards for defeating this boss are: Will x687, Stone Spirit x1, and Jade Fang material. To the left of the boss arena is also one of the three bells you need to ring to reach the secret boss.

The Venerable Elder Jin-chi (King of the Yaoguai)

Where can I find the Venerable Elder Jin-chi?

  • Black Wind Mountain => Hidden Place: Old Guanyin Temple => Main Hall

To get to this hidden area, you must ring the three bells located near the arenas with the bosses  Xiucai in white robes,  Guang-zhi and  Guang-mou. After doing so, you will be automatically transferred to the entrance of the temple.

How to defeat Venerable Elder Jin-chi?

Venerable Elder Jin-Chi is a stronger version of the Wandering Wraith you encountered earlier. His basic moveset is the same, but he chains them together into longer combos and has more health.

He also uses his disciples to deal you extra damage or heal himself. When mobs glow gold and run towards you, just run away. If they reach you, they will explode.

When you take half of the health of the Venerable Elder Jin-chi, he will float in the air, and his disciples will begin to slowly walk towards him. Your task is to kill them as quickly as possible. All who manage to reach him will be absorbed by him, and due to this, he will heal himself.

Otherwise, the combat tactics will be exactly the same as with the Wandering Wight: start the fight with the Immobilize spell, then use a few quick attacks and move on to the Red Tide spell.

Then focus on avoiding damage by dodging and running away from the boss’s attacks. When Immobilize is off cooldown, use it again. When Jin-Chi finishes his combo, you have a small window to run in and get in a few quick hits. If you can finish the combo, you can stagger him and repeat.

Also use strong attacks with a charge when the opportunity arises. When the spell “Red Tide” is on cooldown, use it again. After that, the fight will most likely be over.

Rewards for defeating Venerable Elder Jin-chi

As a reward for defeating this boss, you will receive the following resources and artifacts: will x2000 and the artifact “Fire Cape” (you can take it from the corpse hanging on the tree near the third bell, after moving back from the temple).

King Black Wind (King of the Yaoguai)

Where to find King Black Wind?

  • Black Wind Mountain => Black Wind Cave => Cave (inside)

Go through the large gate near the Black Wind Cave [ Cave (Inside) ] altar and you’ll find yourself right in the arena with this boss.

How to defeat the Black Wind King?

King Black Wind is a big guy who wields a long spear and uses fire and wind magic. The key to victory is timing your attacks correctly.

You should dodge when he starts swinging his spear: he usually does three attacks in a row, so be prepared to dodge three times. After that, you will have a small window to get in a few hits.

At the beginning of the fight, use the Red Tide spell and hit the enemy several times with powerful blows. When he turns into a big ball of air, be ready to dodge several times as he flies up and back.

After this, the Black Wind will move to the center of the room and create an air vortex there, which you need to stay away from. When he returns to human form, use the Immobilize spell and attack.

By this point you should have taken away about half of his health and he will focus on attacking with his spear. If you see that the boss is drinking from a flask, it means that he will soon start breathing fire.  While he is drinking, he is vulnerable. If you manage to perform a series of quick attacks, this action can be interrupted.

Periodically, the boss will also become invisible for a few seconds and then attack. At this point, you should dodge and not stand still, as he can appear from anywhere.

Rewards for defeating the Black Wind King

As a reward for defeating this boss, you will receive the following resources, spells and curiosities: Will x696, the spell “Walk on Clouds” and the curiosity “Agate Vessel” (you can take it from the chest standing on the table right behind the arena with the boss).

Black Guai Bear (King of the Yaoguai)

Where to find Black Bear-Guai?

  • Black Wind Mountain => Black Wind Cave => Bodhi Peak

From the Black Wind Cave [Bodhi Peak] altar, head up the stone steps and you’ll find yourself right in the burning arena with this boss.

How to defeat the Black Guai Bear?

The Black Guai Bear is a huge bear with red eyes and glowing paws that hits harder than any other boss you’ve fought so far.  The key to victory is in proper preparation:

  • Make sure you defeat Venerable Elder Jin-chi and equip the Fire Cape, which will grant you protection from fire for a while;
  • Equip  the Agate Vessel item obtained after the battle with the Black Wind King, it will increase your defense;
  • Take the spirit of Guan-mou, obtained after defeating the boss of the same name. He summons snakes that shoot poisoned projectiles;
  • Craft a new staff and a few pieces of Bronze Armor, it will increase damage to stunned enemies and give you heat resistance. You should have two silks from defeating Venerable Elder Jin-chi and two more can be bought at the altar there.

Once everything is ready, head to the arena. After entering the battle, immediately summon the spirit of Guan-mou to poison the enemy. Then use the spell “Immobilize” and make some quick attacks. After that, move on to the spell “Red Tide” and use strong attacks.

In the first phase, the boss mainly uses claw attacks, which can be dodged to the side. He usually hits three times, after which a small window opens for a counterattack.

If you manage to complete a series of quick attacks, it can stun the boss and give you the opportunity to perform this combo again. Do not use strong attacks at this stage, as they are very slow and leave you vulnerable.

When the boss’s health drops to half, he will turn into a flying fireball and attack you several times in a row. Then he will return to his bear form and his paws will start to burn, as will the floor around him.

This is the moment when it is better to use the artifact “Fire Cape”. If you do start to burn, use several dodges in a row to put out the flames.

The main danger in the second phase is the slams of the burning paws on the ground, during which pillars of flame fly up, they can remove up to 60% of your health at once. Therefore, if possible, try to keep your distance and do not let your health drop too low.
