The intricate steps you must follow to open the locked door of the ancestral chamber and take home a few rewards for the adventure.
The vast map offered by Dragon’s Dogma 2 allows us to find a multitude of missions and secret places, but not all of them seem accessible. So we’re telling you how to open the door to the Ancestral Chamber in Dragon’s Dogma 2 for a few unexpected surprises.
How to open the Ancestral Chamber door in Dragon’s Dogma 2
The Ancestral Chamber is located near Vermund and also Melve. There are two main entrances in this area.
You’ll find one north of Melve that’s too high to reach and requires knocking down the ladder, and then the easier entrance that you have to reach by walking a long way.
The second entrance can be found by traveling northwest from Vernworth until you reach the Malachite Forest near the Elven Settleme.
There would then be a third entrance which you can access when you have made the first visit to this ancestral chamber and can be found by taking the stone ramp as you leave the settlement and then jumping over the ledge.
This entry point can be accessed by using abilities such as the mage’s levitate or one could use a smoke beacon and ride a harpy to the entry point.
How to unlock the door to the Ancestral Chamber
In order to gain access to the locked door to the ancestral chamber, you must complete the quest called “The Gift of the Bow” in Vernworth. After that, you must complete the quest called “Test of Archery” that follows.
During this last mission, you will enter the ancestral chamber to rescue a character, and to the right of the circular platform, where the fearsome ogre that you will have to take down is located, there is a hidden passage where the locked door is located.
Once you have completed the mission you will be able to pass through the closed door, but you must first rest at the nearby camp.
Once you rest at the nearby camp, and night falls, head towards the ancestral chamber and a large set of new creatures should have appeared.
After overcoming all these enemies you will reach the door, but a large skeleton and some of its henchmen will be waiting for you. You will have to defeat them and then you will be able to open the blessed door.
This method might not work at first, so if you enter the ancestral chamber at night and find that there are no new enemies, you will have to camp again and return.
If it doesn’t work, load a previous save.
That is, in order to open the locked door, all these rare enemies must appear first. If they don’t appear, you will have to try again.
Ancestral Chamber Gate Rewards
Once you get past the locked door to the ancestral chamber you won’t find much, in fact it’s the skeleton boss himself who carries the most valuable items.
In any case, there is a chest with an item that allows you to increase both physical defense and magical defense for a limited period of time.
Even if there are no valuable rewards behind this closed door in the ancestral chamber, at least your curiosity will have been satisfied.
