Code
The easiest way to hide your Vodafone number is to use the free number camouflage code supported by all major Italian telephone operators. The string to hide the Vodafone number in question (which is also valid for any other telephone provider) is #31# and if you put it before the telephone number to call, the recipient of the call will not be able to view your real telephone number and in its place the writing Unknown number or Private number will appear .
Let’s take a practical example right away: if you want to contact the number 333123456 , you have to open the dialer of your smartphone, enter the code #31# followed by the number 333123456 (so you get #31#333123456 ) and press the key to start the call ( it is usually the one depicting a cornet ). The recipient of the call will not see your telephone number and you will be able to speak normally with it without surcharges compared to the standard costs foreseen by your tariff plan.

If you’re using an Android smartphone and want to hide your Vodafone number for all outgoing calls without having to enter the appropriate code each time, you can do this by changing the device settings and enabling caller ID camouflage from there.
To do this, grab your Android smartphone, unlock it (if necessary), access the home screen and/or the drawer and select the Settings icon (the one in the shape of a gear wheel ).
On the new screen that is now visible, select the item Calls , touch the wording Other settings and touch the item Caller ID .
