To identify the IP address of your printer, it is absolutely necessary that some very specific conditions occur: first of all, the printer must be turned on , correctly started and previously connected to the router that manages the home network, via cable or Wi- Fi. If you haven’t done so yet, follow my tutorial on how to install a network printer .
Having said that, there are several ways you can take to find the information you are looking for, which I am going to talk about in the following sections of this guide: use the appropriate panel of the operating system you are using, use an app third parties for smartphones / tablets, or act from the panel of the printer itself or from the management area of the router.
If you decide to operate with the help of a second device, be it a computer, a smartphone or a tablet, make sure that it is connected to the same network in use on the printer .
