If you have a different smartphone but still have the Google Photos app, try this method:
- Open Google Photos, select the photo you want and click Edit (the icon with three lines or a pencil);
- Select Markup, then click the add text “T” icon;
- Enter your text, adjust the color and size, and then click Save a Copy.
Universal method for both OS
In addition to all the above methods, you can open absolutely any application that supports sending photos. For example, a messenger or a social network. Often, they already have free tools for editing pictures built in.
Let’s look at it step by step using Telegram as an example:
- Open a chat or Favorites and tap the paperclip icon to upload a photo;
- Select a picture and click on the pencil icon;
- Click on “Text” and enter your message.
- Move the text to the desired location on the photo and change the color and size if desired;
- Click “Done” and send the image with text to the chat.
You can use any other messenger in the same way, so as not to download unnecessary applications that will take up space on your phone. Moreover, in conventional messengers you can add text to an image for free, but some photo editing utilities may charge you for this or force you to subscribe.
