Let’s Have Investigative Faith
First of all, make an effort to raise your faith from an imitation level to the level of verified faith and protect it. Because faith means accepting Allah Almighty with all his names and attributes and sincerely believing in his commands and prohibitions. Therefore, a person can live as he commands on the path he draws, to the extent of his sincerity and the strength of his faith in the knowledge and power of Allah and that He is Semi and Basir , that is, He hears and sees everything in every state at all times.
For this reason, read regularly, even if just a little, the works that will strengthen your faith. Paint your mind with works of faith by thinking about what you read.
Let’s Be Meticulous About Worship and Good Morals
You can further strengthen your faith through worship and good morals and enable it to take action.
As we all know, what makes a tree meaningful and alive is its roots, trunk and fruit . If one of these three is missing, the tree has no value or meaning. If we consider the religion of Islam as a tree, the root of this tree is faith, its trunk is worship and its fruit is good morals.
Take utmost care in your worship. Because faith without worship is a weak light that is likely to weaken, fade and disappear over time. Worship is like a glass bowl that protects and nourishes the light of faith. Without worship, faith faces the risk of being deprived of food over time and fading away, unable to withstand the negative effects of storms such as blasphemy, sin and heresy.
Let’s Perform Prayer on Time and Properly
Prayer is one of the primary acts of worship that will activate your faith. Because the highest truth in the universe is faith, and after faith is prayer. Because, on the one hand, prayer is understanding the helplessness and weakness of a person, that is, that he is a servant, and prostrating to him in the presence of Allah, which means strengthening faith in hearts and minds. On the other hand, prayer keeps the spiritual ties alive by making the connection between the servant and God regular and continuous.
A person keeps his faith alive by appearing in the presence of a Creator who created him and has orders and prohibitions at least five times a day, and he also practices the things required by faith.
Let’s Take Our Prophet as a Role Model
Hz. Following the sunnah of our Prophet (pbuh) is also an act of worship that makes faith alive and activates it. Because the sunnahs of our Prophet are not only the truest Islam, but also the best forms of good morality. At the same time, when we fulfill each sunnah, they contribute to strengthening our faith in the future of our Prophet (pbuh) and therefore the Almighty Creator who sent him as a messenger.
Let’s Obey the Indicators of Faith
As we mentioned above, faith is a whole. A part of this whole is good morality. Morality, in a sense, is also the indicator and result of faith. As long as the good moral values commanded and recommended by Islam are practiced, a person’s faith will both be preserved and lose its effect over time.
Let’s Read the Lives of Role Model Adults
Read the lives of the prophets, companions and other Islamic heroes. As you read about how they protected the Islamic morality, which is a requirement of their faith, how they fought against their own souls, and how they lived their worship without compromise, your faith will also be activated.
Let’s Communicate What We Experience
Let conveying the truths of Islam and faith to those around you be a priority among your main goals.
“How can I fulfill my duty as a preacher, what can I tell to whom and where?” to your friends and other people you are in a relationship with, especially your family and relatives. Having a concern or cause like this will always keep you spiritually alive and activate your faith.
Let’s Look at Everything Through the Glasses of Faith and Islam
Make every effort to look at the social, cultural and political world you live, see and hear from an Islamic perspective.
In short, make it a habit to question the world from a perspective that we can conceptualize as “Islamic-Literacy” .
For example, do mental exercises on a TV series you watched, a news you heard, a lifestyle you saw, and how Islamic the lives of the people around you are.
Hopefully, over time, this will make you become accustomed to the Islamic perspective and enable you to live a life in accordance with your faith.
