Guide – How to Help a Drunk Pig in Black Myth: Wukong

Helping the drunk pig in Chapter 2 of Black Myth: Wukong may not seem like the most important task, but it’s actually one of the key quests in the Yellow Wind Ridge region. Although the pig demands that you bring him more booze, your real goal is to sober him up, and to do that, you’ll need a special item.

Where to find the Sobering Stone

To sober up the “piglet”, you will need a Sobering Stone. There are two ways to get it in Yellow Wind Ridge:

  • Buy from the Stone Man : If you complete the Stone Man’s quest, you will be able to buy the Stone from him when he becomes a merchant.
  • Found in Village (Windrest – not sure how it’s translated) : You can find the Stone in a Jar in the village that’s behind the Temple of the Hidden Tiger. From the Temple of the Guardian on the Bridge, enter the village, turn left up the stairs, then right up the second set of stairs with a rat enemy with a shield. To the left you’ll see an enemy that shoots poison, and next to him is an undead in a doorway with a breakable jug.

Give the Stone to the pig and he will thank you and then go off in search of food.

Where to find Jade Lotus

The next time you’ll find the pig is at the Temple of the Hidden Tiger. From the Guardian Temple at the entrance to the temple, go up the stairs and turn right to see him sitting against the wall. He’ll ask you to bring him the Jade Lotus from the Yellow Wind Ridge.

The Lotus can be found in the pool in the Aardwolf boss arena. You can also find a lot of Jade Lotuses in the Blackwind Mountain region if you search for them in the rivers of the Forest of Wolves and Bamboo Grove.

Bring him the lotus and he will give you some cryptic clues about the Realm of Gold and a special gold coin that he is going to use in a certain place, but he won’t say where.

Battle with Yellowshirt Squire

If you return to the place where you first found the drunken pig, you will see him standing by the large double doors. As you approach, he will angrily demand to know why you have his brother’s gold coin and attack you – now in the form of the Yellow-Robed Squire.

The pig is supposedly talking about the Arhat’s Gold Coin item that you get by defeating the First Prince of Sandwinds. You probably need to defeat that boss first to get the pig to appear as a Squire.

After defeating the piglet, he will run away through the double doors, urging you to follow him. Interact with the door and you will find yourself in a secret area: the Kingdom of Sahali. Several bosses and chests await you here.

Completing this location will also give you the Wind Tamer Vessel, which will come in handy in the fight against the final boss of Yellow Wind Ridge.
