Zenless Zone Zero Qingyi – Character Guide and Build

Factions matter more in Zenless Zone Zero than they seem. When a party has characters from the same faction, they buff each other and also receive bonuses from Banbu. And to keep Zhu Yuan from getting bored as the only police officer in the party, Qingyi and Seth were added to her in Update 1.1.

In this article, we will figure out what is best to put on Qingyi and how to assemble squads with her for maximum efficiency.

About the character

Qingyi works in the Public Security Service. Her duties include pursuing and capturing criminals, exploring caverns, and other work that ordinary people cannot do. She usually works in tandem with Zhu Yuan, but she can also do it alone. The thing is that Qingyi is not a human, but a sentient construct, which allows her to be more resistant to the effects of ether.

In combat, she uses the Electro attribute and acts as an Intimidation character. She can quickly build up the enemy stun meter and allow other squad members to deal more damage.

How to get

Qingyi is the third event legendary character in Zenless Zone Zero. To obtain her, you need to use the dedicated signal “Clear as Jade and Ice”. You can also obtain Billy and Corinne in the banner along with her.

Basic attacks

Skill	Gain	Description
Basic attack	Song of the Evil Spirit	Qingyi performs a 4-hit combo, combining attacks with physical and electrical attributes. If you continue to rapidly press the button after the third basic attack, the agent will attack enemies at high speed, creating a radius in which it can hit them. When a series of quick attacks is interrupted, a 4th hit is automatically performed. During the 3rd and 4th hit, the defense against interruption is increased and incoming damage is reduced.
	I gaze at the clouds with rapture	Hold the Basic Attack button to activate. Qingyi dashes forward and attacks enemies in front of him with the Electro attribute.
	Sparkle	When the agent’s attacks deal electrical damage, the Breakdown Voltage gauge builds up. Once it is filled to 75% (up to the mark), the Sparking state is activated. When you launch the attack “I gaze at the moon with rapture”, the accumulated Penetrating Voltage is consumed, and the attack deals more damage and stuns to the enemy.
	I gaze at the moon with rapture	To activate the attack, hold the basic attack button while in Sparkle state. Qingyi will perform a 5-hit combo, followed by a powerful finishing attack that deals electricity damage. Activating Finishing Move immediately performs a Perfect Dodge and grants temporary invulnerability.

	Attack in a Dash: Drums, Cymbals and Gongs	To activate, use a basic attack while dodging. Qingyi will dash forward and strike with a physical attribute.
	Counterattack after dodging: Words cannot describe my feelings	Use a basic attack while dodging. The agent will jump and deal an electric shock.
Help	Quick Help: Wind in the Pines	Press the assist button when an ally is knocked up. Qingyi will replace them and shock nearby enemies.
	Evasion Aid: Flowers on Brocade	When an ally is about to be attacked, activate Assist to parry the attack and accumulate a lot of stun points.
	Additional Attack Assist: Flowing Qingjiang	After assisting in defense, press the basic attack button to dash and charge a small area with electricity and cause an explosion.
Special attack (E)	Hall in patterned brocade	Press the button to perform two quick vertical strikes, dealing electrical damage.
	Enhanced Special Attack: Moon Over Begonia	With enough energy, the attack becomes stronger. Jingyi dashes and slashes upwards, jumping and spinning. She then performs a series of strikes and attacks downwards, dealing massive electrical damage. Holding the button consumes more energy, but the series of strikes is extended.
Chain of attacks (ulta)	Melody of Serenity	When starting a chain of attacks, select Qingyi. She performs a series of powerful strikes in an area in front of her, dealing Electric Damage. The attacks are also further strengthened based on the level of Taming the Defiant, which is applied through the main passive skill Thousand Autumns.
	Super Ability: Eight Sounds of Ganzhou	When 3000 decibels are accumulated, the agent’s ult can be used. In this case, it will perform a series of attacks on the area and deal a large amount of electrical damage.

Makings

All top row traits (A, C, E) give 6 impulse. All bottom row buttons (B, D, F) give 25 basic attack. Also, Qingyi traits increase the levels of the main passive skill: Thousand Autumns.

Main Passive Skill: Thousand Autumns

When Qingyi lands the finishing blow of the attack “I Am Enraptured by the Moon”, 5 layers of “Trivialize the Defiant” are applied to the enemy (up to a maximum of 20 layers). Each layer increases the enemy’s vulnerability multiplier when stunned.

Also applies 1 stack of the effect for each hit in the dash when using “I gaze upon the moon with delight”. If Perfect Evasion is activated at the same time, the agent immediately applies 10 stacks. The levels are reset when the enemy comes out of the stun.

Additional ability: Three verses about Yangguan

If there is an Assault or Public Security character in the party, Qingyi’s basic attacks deal more stun damage. If the agent’s impulse is above 120, for every point above that, her attack power increases by 6 (up to 600 attack power).

Priority of pumping

First of all, you need to upgrade the agent’s abilities and basic attack. This is the main source of damage and debuffs on enemies, which allows you to stun them faster. It is also important to upgrade the special attack, it also deals a lot of damage and stuns.

After that, pump up evasion and ult. You will often press the ult on other heroes, so pumping it is not so important. Lastly, pump up assistance. Qingyi is an on-field damage dealer, for whom it is important to be on the battlefield often, so you will mainly switch from her to other allies.

Drive disk

In terms of drive discs, we recommend two combos. The first one includes 4 parts of Shockstar Disco and 2 parts of Swing Jazz. For a set of Shockstar Disco, we will get 6% momentum, and basic attacks, dash attacks, and counters will deal 20% more stun. Swing Jazz will give 20% energy recovery, which is useful on our agent.

The second variant also contains 4 parts of Shockstar Disco, but instead of Swinging Jazz we take Thunderous Heavy Metal. This gives us 6% of the impulse and 20% of the stun from the first set, and 10% of the shock damage from the second.

Teams
