Zenless Zone Zero: Main Enemy Types and Their Weaknesses

There are many different enemies you will have to face in Zenless Zone Zero. Here we show you the main categories of rivals and opponents and what their weaknesses are.

In Zenless Zone Zero there are dozens of different enemies that we can face when exploring the Cavities or playing VR simulation battles. Of course, each enemy is a different challenge , and it is important to know in advance that all enemies have elemental weaknesses (as well as resistances, in some cases). These weaknesses can be exploited by us, since if we attack the enemies with characters of a certain elemental attribute , we can do more damage to them and increase their stun bar much more quickly .

Every time you fight a new enemy in ZZZ, it is recorded with all its relevant information in the Phaeton Archive , which you can consult through the Workstation within the Random Play video store. However, in case you have just started playing and have doubts, in this entry of our guide we are going to briefly summarize what the weaknesses of each type of main enemy are in the HoYoverse Action-RPG.

These are the 5 main categories or affiliations of enemies:

  • The main weakness of these enemies is the Glacial and Ethereal attributes , so Anomaly effects such as Freeze, Ice Shatter, Frost Mist and Corruption are very effective against them.

On the other hand, this class of enemies never presents resistance to any specific attribute.

Bandits

bandits are human enemies who usually fight ferociously in hand – to-hand combat .

  • The main weakness of these enemies is the Frost and Physical attributes , so Anomaly effects such as Freeze, Ice Break, Frost Mist, Charge and Fear are very effective against them.

However, the Raging Sweeper is the only enemy in this affiliation that is weak to the Electric element and resistant to the Physical element. The rest of the enemies in this category do not have resistance to any specific attribute.

Corrupted entities

Corrupted entities are enemies whose souls have been terribly mutated by ethereal corruption. Formerly human, they still retain certain characteristics, but now have outstanding physical conditions and an affinity for ethereal matter.

  • The main weakness of these enemies is the Fire attribute , so Anomaly effects such as Scorch are very effective against them.

On the other hand, most enemies in this category have resistance to the Electric element , so it is not advisable to use agents of this specialty against them.

Rebel soldiers

Rebel soldiers are , you could say, like bandits, but enhanced . They are armored and reinforced humans who also have heavy mech-type units and use firearms , shields and missiles to attack.

  • The main weakness of these enemies are the Fire and Physical attributes , so Anomaly effects such as Scorch, Charge and Fear are very effective against them.

On the other hand, the “hunter” enemies of this affiliation do not present any resistance to any element, but the main mechs are resistant to the Ethereal element , while the Challenger Typhoon is the only one of this group that resists the Fire element and is weak, on the other hand, to the Electric element.

Special enemies

Finally, in the group or category of special enemies we find a handful of great final bosses that we will encounter during the story of ZZZ.

  • In general, these enemies are huge heavy machines that have a weakness against the Electric element, but are resistant to the Physical element (as is the case with the boss Friday).

In any case, in the missions or assignments in which they appear, the game itself will recommend the best elements to fight against them. Keep an eye on this information before starting new missions.
