Learn about the combat attributes and specialties in Zenless Zone Zero to become a formidable warrior on the battlefield. Enhance your skills and dominate your opponents with expert knowledge.Characters in Zenless Zone Zero are classified into different elemental attributes and specialties or combat styles. Here we explain the characteristics of each one.
Zenless Zone Zero has a very dynamic and agile combat systemcompared to other previous HoYoverse games, but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t have certain strategy or RPG components . In this sense, this is clear when we see that each of the main playable characters is associated with an elemental attribute and a specialty or combat style.
These agent traits largely determine their offensive abilities, synergies, and special effects , so it’s important to know in advance what each one means exactly in order to, for example, create the best possible team . In this entry of our guide we’re going to explain each attribute and specialty in case you have any questions about them.
Types of elemental attributes and anomalies
In Zenless Zone Zero, there are up to 5 elemental attributes that characters can be classified into. Combining agents of the same attribute (or faction) in a team will allow them to activate their passive ability , and it is also important to keep in mind that different enemies are vulnerable to different attributes.
For example, organic and corrupted enemies are vulnerable to fire attacks, machines are weak to electrical attacks, and mutants are weak to glacial attacks.
On the other hand, Agents can deal Attribute Damage, triggering the production of Attribute Anomaly on opponents. That is, as we deal a certain amount of Attribute Damage to enemies, this will accumulate an Attribute Anomaly that will eventually cause the enemy to be affected by an Attribute-related Anomaly debuff .
Below we show you the characteristics of each attribute so that you better understand how they work:
Igneous
- The Fire attribute dealsfire damage and causes Fiery Anomaly to enemies, after which the Incineration effect is activated.
- The calcinationeffect deals continuous fire damage.
- When you inflict Scorch on an enemy countered by Fire damage, their actions will be interrupted.
Electric
- The Electricattribute deals electrical damage and causes Electrical Anomaly, after which the electroshock effect is activated.
- The electroshockeffect deals electrical damage intermittently for a certain duration when hitting the enemy.
- When shocking an enemy weak to the electric attribute, their actions will be interrupted.
Glacial
- The Glacialattribute deals Glacial damage and causes Glacial Anomaly, after which the Frostbite and Frost Mist effects are activated.
- The freezingeffect is capable of stopping the target for a certain amount of time.
- The Ice Breakeffect activates immediately when the freezing effect ends, after which it deals icy damage.
- The Frost Misteffect increases Critical Damage dealt to the target.
Physical
- The Physicalattribute deals Physical damage and causes Physical Anomaly, after which the Rush and Fear effects are activated.
- The dasheffect is capable of interrupting the enemy’s actions and dealing a large amount of physical damage.
- The feareffect increases the target’s Stun for a certain duration.
Ethereal
- The Etherealattribute deals Ethereal damage and causes Ethereal Anomaly, after which the corruption effect is activated.
- The corruptioneffect intermittently deals additional ethereal damage when hitting an enemy.
- By causing corruption in an enemy weak to the ethereal attribute, their actions will be interrupted.
Types of combat specialties
