Why you have to be afraid of bows in Fortnite now

There were a few changes in Fortnite: Battle Royale, mainly affecting the weapon balance. The bows seem quite strong now. We will show you why you should be afraid of bows.

That’s what’s going on in Fortnite right now: The beginning of Season 6 brought some new weapons to the game and now you can even craft original weapons yourself. Epic was apparently not entirely happy with the balance of the weapon, as they brought in some tweaks and improvements for some crunches. With update 16.10, some weapons were placed.

But now the bows in particular should have benefited from a buff after Epic made the changes. Are you too strong now?

Bows get stronger than before

This change has been made to bows: Bows in Fortnite now do more damage than before and the speed of shots has been increased. According to the FireMonkey dataminer, the original damage from a headshot is multiplied by 2.5X; previously it was 2.0X (via Twitter). This is how it affects arches:

  • Makeshift Bow: was 104 damage / now 130 damage
  • Primal Bow: was 130 damage / now 162.5 damage
  • Mechanical Bow: was 170 damage / now 212.5 damage

The makeshift bow can be made into a prehistoric or mechanical bow with the right materials. So you can benefit from the most damage immediately afterwards. With a mechanical bow, you can now even kill an enemy with a headshot, even if they have full health and shield.

This change makes the mechanical bow particularly dangerous, as it can kill you with a single shot. Also, you can further expand the prehistoric bow and mechanical bow with materials, such as retouching a stinky bow from the prehistoric version, so it not only has a high level of damage, but also other aspects that make it even more difficult to countertop. .

You can also equip the mechanical bow with explosive arrows.

Epic brings more changes to weapon balance.

What other changes has Fortnite brought? In a tweet, Fortnite Status announced that they had made some changes to the game (via Twitter). These changes mainly affect the weapons in the game. This is different now:

  • The number of crafting supplies has doubled, so you will find them more often.
  • Improved marksmanship with assault rifle and revolver
  • Bow headshot damage and speed increased.
  • Recycling garbage pumps now fly faster
  • Primal Pistol: increased fire rate and damage
  • Upgrade for all submachine guns
  • The spawn rate for normal weapons, primal weapons, and improvised weapons has been split evenly.

Finding an ancient weapon is now as likely as finding a normal weapon.

If you want strong weapons, but don’t want to build big ones first, then you should look for special chests. These guarantee that you will always get good weapons without much effort. But since they are not that easy to find, we will show you the location of the bunker chests on the map to our guide.

What do you think of these changes? Were they necessary or are the bows too strong now?
