When on a diet, is it true that all the organs in the body really shrink? Or are there certain body parts that can be maintained in size?
This is what women often experience when they want to shrink their bodies but don’t want to lose volume from their breasts. Reporting from Her, Angela Fitch, MD, from the Weight Loss Center at the University of Cincinnati explained that whether the breasts will also shrink along with this reduced body weight.
Fitch explained that we really can’t change where the weight collects on the body parts that we have.
“Because on the body, we can only observe wherever the weight is on the visible part of the eye. That’s why we are more aware of it than on the back of the body,” explained Fitch.

“Body fat will decrease in certain parts without any special parts where it will decrease,” he continued.

Ways to Keep Breasts Firm
Regarding the protruding shape of the breasts, Finch said that this was due to the weight and also that it could not be determined whether the volume inside would decrease.
“Sometimes, the breasts will have more bulging folds than the thighs because they are heavier so gravity pulls them down,” says Finch.
“But speed also doesn’t matter. When you lose more weight, you will have looser skin,” he added.

However, there are still ways to make your breasts last longer. The way is through weight lifting exercises.
“During the process of losing weight, we always recommend weight training. Cardio exercise helps burn fat, but lifting weights helps increase metabolism,” explains Finch.
“If you lose weight, your metabolism will slow down and building muscle will help you get it back,” he explains.
You can be sure when you are on a diet, the size of your breasts will shrink. But with the right exercise, the condition will return to normal and tighten.
