March PS Plus gave Final Fantasy 7 Remake to subscribers, but redeeming on PS5 does not entitle you to a digital upgrade or DLCA.
It was a surprise to receive Final Fantasy VII Remake on PS Plus in March 2021, less than a year after the launch of the game that competed for the Game of the Year category at The Game Awards. But, Sony console players need to understand that there is a difference from the PS4 and PS5 version , which includes the digital upgrade and access to the DLC .

PS Plus Final Fantasy has no PS5 upgrade
This version offered on PS Plus will not give you access to the digital upgrade of the game on PS5 , called Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade , launched on June 10, 2021. This is an improvement for the new console, adding increments of light, texture, scenery, consistency at 60 frames per second and reduced game loading time.
In addition, the Intergrade update also features an extra episode, purchased separately, to explore the character Yuffie Kisaragi, placing her as the protagonist. The additional content also includes new elements of combat and gameplay.
However, even without the digital upgrade, the PS Plus version can perform better, since the PS5 hardware is superior. Still, it will be a title shot via backward compatibility and not developed for the new generation like Intergrade .
What if I redeemed from PS Plus and want Yuffie content?
The PS Plus version of FFVII Remake does not provide access to the Yuffie DLC . To take advantage of this content, you will need to buy the PS5 version of the game – in pre-order for R $ 350 on the PS Store .
And who has already bought FFVII Remake on PS4?
Whoever bought the physical or digital version for PlayStation 4 will have access to the digital upgrade of Final Fantasy 7 Remake . However, access to the new Yuffie content needs to be purchased separately.
Players who have a physical edition of the PS4 game and purchased the PS5 edition without a disc player will not receive the update.
